Height: 5' 10" Hair: Blonde

Weight: 175 lbs Eyes: Blue

Appearance: A tall woman with blonde hair that falls to the middle of her back, Paladin has a muscular build. Her costume consists of golden scale mail with a black tabard and hooded cape. With this, she wears knee-high black, leather boots, black, leather gloves that reachalmost to her elbows, and a sword belt. On the belt are a long sword and dagger. She usually has a shield on her left arm. On it, and the tabard, are the insignia of Waterdeep.

Background: After graduating college with a BA in medieval history, Elaine Kinsey decided to tour Europe before returning to her studies. While looking through an antique shop, she happened to find an amulet shaped like a knight on a pegasus. After buying it and taking it back to her hotel room, Elaine examined it carefully, found a phrase engraved on it, tried it on and whispered the phrase. Elaine vanished and a woman in the armor of a Waterdeep city guard appeared.

It took Elaine a moment to realize that she had a new form. Furthur experimentation taught her how to summon a white pegasus that she named Brightwind, after a pony she once had. When she returned to the United States, she told her parents about her abilities. Her father, Senator Robert Kinsey, demanded that she use her powers to help him become President of the United States. When she refused, he threw her out of the house. She then offerred her services to the IST and was accepted. After training, she was assigned to IST San Angelo.

While on temporary assignment with IST London, her amulet was destroyed, trapping her in her superheroic form. Since Brightwind was with her at that time, he can't go back to whereever he came from.

She returned to San Angelo, one of her father's supporters leaked her secret to the press.

Looks cool...I was just a little amused by a char that carrys a sword and a dagger with Code vs kill.........

Thanks. She uses the sword and dagger to either disarm or disable her foes.

Oh, the CVK doesn't apply to evil undead.

One last thought. She was going to be an actual officer of Waterdeep's city guard, the army of Waterdeep, (as opposed to the watch, who are the city's police), but I was having trouble doing that properly.

Well, undead aren't really alive, so CvK probably wouldn't apply. onintelligent monsters are probably exempt too. Evil outsiders are probably fair game now that I think about it.

 

 

I just can't figure out why she has such insanely high PD and ED? Sup with that?

She's 9 PD & 9 ED without armor.

Call me crazy but this just plain looks wrong. AFAIK, HKAs already do Body. Why on earth did you tack on an "advantage" that allows the power to do what it already can but costs more points?

 

This sword based HKA should look like 1 1/2d6 HKA, OAF (-1) 25 Active Points/12 points real cost. Ditto for the knife.

I created Paladin using Hero Designer version 1. That's how it came out in that program.

If it does math that poorly, I'm glad I don't have a copy of it. Seriously, it's shorted your character like 26 pts. You could use that to raise her Pre, Com, Dex & Spd. As it stands she's like a competent normal anyway. Most book villains would eat her for lunch.
