Manchine
What is A/R cost? I can not find anything about it. I am thinking this is End Cost for weapons. But I don't know. If not how do you do endurance cost for weapons?

Outsider
Re: Question A/R is Active/Real. The END cost for weapons is determined by how much STR is needed to wield them.

Manchine
Re: Question The END cost for weapons is determined by how much STR is needed to wield them. The Str. Minimum says See pages 327-328. Which doesnt talk about weapons? Talks about Disadvantages.
Savinien
Re: Question STR Min is a disadvantage which is applied to weapons. You wouldn't buy STR Min for enhanced senses or other powers, because of what the disadvantage does. One of the byproducts of the disadvantage is END costs for weapons. The disadvantage works in conjunction with the weapon (like other disads can such as Real Weapon).
Nolgroth
Re: Question If you have HERO 5th Edition, Strength Minimum is described on page 327. If you have HERO 5th Edition: Revised, it is explained on page 478. Maybe that will help?

Trencher
Re: Question Just in case You did not get it: Active cost is the cost of the power with all advantages but without limitations. Real cost is after limitations is counted in. Like the power fire scythe: active cost is 15 points for one d6 of killing, and increase that to 22 points for adding the armour piercing advantage. That is ACTIVE cost. But the fire scythe power has a limitation also: increased end, it cost twice as much end to use this power and that is an (-1/2) limitation wich puts the cost of the power down to 15 points again. That is the real cost. If I misunderstood and you already knew I am sorry to disturb you.

Killer Shrike
Re: Question Back on topic, Manchine, you can generally ignore the Active Points and Real Cost for Equipment; it is provided just in case a situation comes up where you need to know for some reason. It is useful however to get a rough guage on the effectiveness of Equipment; a piece of Equipment with 60 AP is roughly comparable to a reusable Spell with 60 Active Points for instance. COOL icon, BTW. I think I already said that, but I'm saying it again!
