Re: WWYCD: Fundamentalist against non-tech supers.

Vitus (hyena-man mage from another universe) would have no patience with the ***hole at all.

He has, after all, worked for gods; met them and their servants; thwarted the plans of others; located and most definately avoided Eldar Gods; promoted his own religion with himself as Alchemical Prophet (for very good reasons too); willingly given up his role as hierarch to someone better suited to take the Cult of Usimagarus onto bigger and better things; died 3 times and come back from the dead; led pilgramages and religious uprisings; been crucified (he still has the scars); and been to hell more times then he cares to remember. Once he served as bar-staff. On his most recent visit, his only ever lover and his adopted son were both mutilated and murdered in front of him.

"I have BEEN to your Hell, preacher man - you have only read about it"

Vitus would very likely be going down for flagrant murder on live TV.

Terminus would ignore him - knowing who your creator is is a bit of a wet rag on religious feelings - until or unless he starts to interfere in his or his friends' activities. Then he'd smack the guy flat.

Microman II: Would respond to the philosophy with a great big "meh." When you've actually *been* to a heaven, courtesy of a teammates power, and felt its light heal your soul, you tend not to give much credence to claims you don't have one. OTOH, he might try quoting scriptures in counter to the preacher's claim, which could be an amusing scene. :) The rest just gets the usual investigation and asskicking.

Diomedes: Would vaguely consider the possibility the preacher is being manipulated by demonic or similar powers. Lacking evidence of that, he'd mostly trash the killers. Oh, and the preacher's offices definitely get a little B&E looking for evidence of fraud and such. ;-)

Jack Frost: "So, it was a pack of demons and demonspawn who saved the Earth from V'Han? Wow, your good, I think you just convinced me to convert to Satanism." Might not help much, but he couldn't resist.

Hermes: In his home era, not really possible; Christianity won't exist for another thousand years at least. Closest that could happen is a "mortals for mortals, we don't need no Chosen" group, which frankly, would be comic relief at best.

OTOH, while visiting the future, Hermes and co could conceivably meet such a group, like the Church of Michael Archangel. Initially he'd be confused, until he had a fill-in on religious history since his own era. This would make a *lot* of confusion over the "gods vs not gods" debate clearer. It would also probably inspire a response along the lines of "What about the Saints and Angels, were they demonspawn too? And if they weren't, how do you tell that anybody in the current period must not be one of them?" Admittedly, they probably won't be listening, since he's a pagan god.
