Twilight
So what if Kal-Turak and Thun went to war? It seems something that's likely to happen, since Kal-Turak is all about ruling everything and Thun seems to have made it clear that they want no part of him. So just how nasty does this particular conflict get? It seems to me that if the good guys could instigate such a conflict, it could conceivably give them much more time to prepare themselves for Kal-Turak. Gunrunner
Re: Turakian Age Question. If Kal-Turak has the power to conquer most of the world, I doubt one nation is going to stop him. Kal-Turak for the win.

Kal-Turak for the win.[/quote'] Ah but the question is, how much damage can Thun inflict in the process? Let us not forget people that the Priests of Thun were considered so evil that Kal-Turak himself tried to join thier order in order to learn from them. Zindil
Re: Turakian Age Question. It is unlikely that either side would immediately go to war with the other, for it would be very difficult logistically to maintain the attacking army. The distance between Kal-Turak and the nation of Thun is vast, and there is no direct route without going through other nations. This would make it very difficult to keep up a supply chain for the army, unless Kal-Turak were to use a vast amount of magical power. Even if he had that kind of power at the appropriate time in the campaign, it would still make more sense for Kal-Turak to attack closer nations first and save his power for other things. Starwolf
Re: Turakian Age Question. Besides if IRRC their goals are very different, Kal-Turak wants to dominate the world, while the Thunese want to ressurect their dark slumbering gods... Unless there became a pressing need Kal-Turak would be better served by a strategy of manipulating events so that the Thunese and other nations war on each other, which weakens them both and bolsters his undead armies. Then it would be easier for him to sweep in and pick up the pieces.

Though of course it would be much trickier manipulating Kal-Turak then it would be for him to manipulate others.
Twilight
Re: Turakian Age Question. One thing I hadn't thought of earlier Starwolf. The Thunese are doing thier best to free an Elder Worm [possibly more then one] from captivity. Surely this can't be anything but bad for Kal-Turak's plans of conquest? Lord Liaden
Re: Turakian Age Question. And for the rest of the world. Could make for an interesting PC adventure, though: Kal-Turak recruits adventurers to stop the Thunese plot to free the Worm. Most would be reluctant to assist the Ravager of Men, but a Prince of the Elder Worm would make for even more grief.
