Truthsayer
Ok, I'm designing a ship and I can't figure out how to do the AI. The thing is a device that can be detached from the ship. But it has mental powers as well. So do I put the mental powers in the AI or do I write it up as a character?
TheRavenIs
Re: Living ship I do the AI as a AI, make it have a physical limitation or physical manifstation.
Lucius
Re: Living ship Or give the AI as a whole a Focus limitation. Lucius Alexander The palindromedary suggests asking the computer's opinion
Dust Raven
Re: Living ship Buying the AI with Focus gives it a physical form that can be moved around (so long as it's not bought Immobile, which is typically for Bases). As a consequence of being in a Focus, he can also be attacked, damaged and destroyed somewhat easily. The Active Cost that determines the Focus' DEF is the cost actually paid for the AI (total CP/5). pendelfield
Re: Living ship How about just building an automaton body that the AI can mind link with and use via mind control.
