wcw43921
Re: vehicles I've always thought that motorcycles and martial artists go hand-in-hand--you can't backflip out of a car to spin-kick your way into a crowd of thugs the way you can off the seat of a motorcycle. The HERO System Vehicle Sourcebook has a good selection of motorcycles starting on page 20, as well as the Supercycle on page 152. Also, a good alternative to vehicles for a martial artist is Leaping. Buy it with RSR at -1/2, either with Acrobatics or Climbing, and you can scale walls and travel rooftops in the best tradition of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Hope that helps. BoloOfEarth
Re: vehicles For out of combat movement, I've liked vehicles, especially for superhero teams. If you're looking for something to supplement movement in-combat, however, a vehicle isn't really the way to go, unless you're going for something unusual (like a flying surfboard or some-such). Now, L.Craig, since your character is a duplicator/martial artist, I'd check if vehicles or such duplicate when you do. (Too muddle-headed from a cold to reliably find out myself, sorry.) Mostly, I GM, but one of the last characters I had was a swashbuckling swordsman with a hoverbike-like vehicle. He didn't ride it a lot in combat, though, but it helped him to get where the combat was taking place.
Guest steamteck
Re: vehicles Right now I've got one of my players with a hover bike which he keeps out of combat. The rest of my players have some movement powers. There's a team rocket plane for long distance travel. Again , not used for combat.
Narratio
Re: vehicles Generally I keep vehicles as a team resource... well, there was that one alternate reality where the characters all had pogo-sticks, but that was just a one off. Honest.
