JmOz
Part of my low point campeign I am making some package deals to cover the four classic D&D archtypes (this is in part to help some new players understand hero) I however for my own reasons want to change the names slightly, the three I have so far Explorer (I hate the term thief) Apprentice (The Magic-User) Accolade (The priest, but will not have access to magic) I still need something for the Fighter type. Also included will be a few others Gleeman (kind of a bard) and the Blessed, which is something you add to another package deal to give you blessed powers, most common for the Accolade, or the warrior (Creating a rough paladin) but open to all

The only one I can remember off-hand (naturally -- my memory sucks) is "exultant," which you could use for a warrior or a bard. I think it works well for either. I'd go "skald" before "gleeman," which just sounds a little too nerdy-'50's for my taste, but if you want to avoid culture-reminiscent terms, I'd use either "exultant" as mentioned, or maybe "troubadour" or "wanderer." I liked Caps' "weaponeer." Another one, which Wolfe's work reminds me of, could be "excruciator."
Shadowsoul
Re: Help with the name of a package deal CM seems to have this pretty well covered. Skald is good. If the Bard-alike can use magic then Spellsinger may be appropriate. Performer is another possibility. As for fighter. There are lots of different sorts. Warrior and Soldier sound good to me. But depending on the setting Gladiator might be appropriate or possibly Legionaire. A few others, also dependent on the setting, Armsman, Armiger (another of Gene Wolfe's ones that), Battler, Blade, Carl, Guard, Hoplite, Knight, Man-At-Arms, Mercenary, Weaponmaster What about the Ranger-type? Perhaps a Scout?

Basil
Re: Help with the name of a package deal Accolade (The priest, but will not have access to magic) "I do not think that word means what you think it means" accolade n ... 1: a ceremonial embrace 2 a: a ceremony or salute to mark the conferring of knighthood b: a ceremony marking the recognition of special merit 3 a: a mark of acknowledgement: AWARD b: an expression of praise... SCUBA Hero is right, the word you seek is "acolyte"
