Posted August 27, 200321 yr comment_6592 Who is writing this book? Also, what kind of goodies should I expect to help me in a military Star Hero campaign?
August 27, 200321 yr comment_193487 Allen is writing most of it; I'm doing a couple bits here and there. In terms of contents, there's a history of the Xenovore Wars, lots of technology, ships, NPCs, weapons, plot seeds, and so on. In short, your usual cool Military SF stuff.
August 27, 200321 yr Author comment_193513 I understand. Reading the product description I thought that perhaps it would include some generic material, aside to the to the part tied with the setting.
August 27, 200321 yr comment_193716 That was the original idea, but it turns out there's not enough room because (a) Allen has had too many cool ideas for setting-specific stuff, and ( I have had too many cool ideas about things to include in a "Military SF Subgenre Book." So, the latter will have to wait until we can do it as a book of its own.
August 28, 200321 yr comment_194456 Yah! And then we can buy 2 books instead of just one!!! Steve is learning well the ways of the Dark Lord of Merchandising. Muwaahaahaa. *joke*
August 31, 200321 yr comment_195346 Well, I haven't seen Allen's manuscript yet, so I can't say for certain, but I doubt there will be any Thorgons. Earth has enough to handle in the Xenovores.

September 1, 200321 yr comment_195504 Thanks Steve and Allen... I am looking forward to the book for reading the story actually. I was quite impressed with the Terran Empire book (despite my early reluctance to purchase it, since my game is not really set in the setting specifically). Polaris

This is very similar to my intent for the Alien Wars book -- I'm setting my game in the Terran Empire, but Alien Wars will be good for some historical background, artifacts, and possibly a few additional alien species from Imperial space (not to mention more information on the Xenovores).

Keith "actually, it sounds like fun" Curtis heh. the Kzin are cuddle-buddles compared to Xenovores. (for illustration, i'm going to to name a xenovore 'speaker to food.')
