Ron
Who is writing this book? Also, what kind of goodies should I expect to help me in a military Star Hero campaign?
Steve Long
Allen is writing most of it; I'm doing a couple bits here and there. In terms of contents, there's a history of the Xenovore Wars, lots of technology, ships, NPCs, weapons, plot seeds, and so on. In short, your usual cool Military SF stuff. Ron
I understand. Reading the product description I thought that perhaps it would include some generic material, aside to the to the part tied with the setting.
Steve Long
That was the original idea, but it turns out there's not enough room because (a) Allen has had too many cool ideas for setting-specific stuff, and ( I have had too many cool ideas about things to include in a "Military SF Subgenre Book." So, the latter will have to wait until we can do it as a book of its own.
Talon
A completely setting-specific book sounds great to me!
RadeFox
Yah! And then we can buy 2 books instead of just one!!! Steve is learning well the ways of the Dark Lord of Merchandising. Muwaahaahaa. *joke*
Ron
Star Grunt Hero! That will be interesting.
Polaris
Will the Thorgans be in the book at all? Polaris
Steve Long
Well, I haven't seen Allen's manuscript yet, so I can't say for certain, but I doubt there will be any Thorgons. Earth has enough to handle in the Xenovores.

Polaris
Thanks Steve and Allen... I am looking forward to the book for reading the story actually. I was quite impressed with the Terran Empire book (despite my early reluctance to purchase it, since my game is not really set in the setting specifically). Talon
Is it going to be another bug hunt, sir?
Steve Long
Well, actually sometimes you're being hunted by the bugs....

This is very similar to my intent for the Alien Wars book -- I'm setting my game in the Terran Empire, but Alien Wars will be good for some historical background, artifacts, and possibly a few additional alien species from Imperial space (not to mention more information on the Xenovores). keithcurtis
Originally posted by Steve Long Well, actually sometimes you're being hunted by the bugs.... Sounds like Alien crossed with Berserkers crossed with the Man-Kzin Wars. Keith "actually, it sounds like fun" Curtis
