knuckles
Hey guys, i was wondering if anybody could point me int he right direction for a villain briefly mentioned in the champions worldwide book, Redcap, operates out of ireland, has damage resistance and claws. So thats 75% damage reduction and a HKA of some note, but i was hoping to find some working stats about that i could tinker with. Anybody came across said stats? Lord Liaden
Re: Redcap Hey knuckles, it took me a while to chase down the reference to Redcap -- it's in Champions Universe, not Champions Worldwide. Unfortunately, I'm 99% certain that that note in CU is the only reference that's been made to Redcap in published books so far, and that there are no official stats for him. It's certainly possible that someone has written up Redcap for their own campaigns, and might post something here. In addition, I believe there are stats for the mythical redcap in the Bestiary section of the Fantasy HERO campaign sourcebook Tuala Morn which you might adapt. Since the Irish supervillain is supposed to be a "magical mutate" that would at least be justifiable.

Split Decision
Re: Redcap Sounds like a perfect opportunity for you, Knuckles, to try your hand at writing a character for review here! Suggestion: If he is meant to be a PC, keep the Damage Reduction at 50 or below. 75 makes for a good master villain or monster but a boring PC. knuckles
Re: Redcap Thanks shrike, good to be back and yeah split he's a villain for my campaign. The story i have in mind is for him to abducting children and transforming them into fiends. How will our heroes deal with facing down an army of what they know to be innocent children...oh the drama
knuckles
Re: Redcap Hey guys, sorry it took me so long to post the stats for redcap. I've been having so much fun with this campaign i decided to run it online at storycrafter.com anyway, heres the working stats, probably not the neatest build ever, but it served my purposes. CoreBrute
Re: Redcap How does Storycrafter.com stack up against HEROCentral? I have used both, but so far the only difference is that Storycrafter appears easier to navigate. But I don't know if it can block one person from seeing another's thread, although Hero Central's method isn't much better. All you have to do is log off your account and see all the hidden threads. Unfortunately there's not a fantastic way to accomplish while supporting anonymous access. I think of HC's approach more along the lines of a spoiler mask. If you DONT want to ruin the mystery as a player, then don't skim in anon mode. I really enjoyed HC itself back when I ran the MillMen. I just didnt like the play by post pacing. Posts came too slowly to maintain my attention, and combat took way too long to run. HC is still a very nice piece of programming however.
