GestaltBennie
Re: Gestalt Podcast I hope you guys find something of use in it. I hate the sound of my own voice, so I haven't worked up the courage to listen to the whole thing yet. The podcasters seemed like nice, patient folks. Legatus
Re: Gestalt Podcast This was entertaining and interesting. And I now have some new ideas for really whacky characters (e.g. the superpowered milkman and the archetypal soccer pro).

Did you hear the opening Gestalt 'Bravado Man' theme I made for ya? Though your Mutants and Masterminds version is playable right out of the box for an OGL player... you succeeded in getting me excited to see what I could bring out of Gestalt by trying the HERO system. I'm already halfway through the book. Thank you for turning me on to HERO. It's a great game system. When you mentioned working for Interplay I asked Ed to look up your past works. Among the many video games that you've worked on that I've played and enjoyed... Lost Vikings? I adored that game! Ed and I wrote a demo for an Xbox game and I was put on as head writer on a new Xbox 360 project. It's an exciting field to get into. Though a true Gestalt of Bravado wouldn't have needed a codpiece. The prodiuction values seemed a lot higher (mix quality, sound levels) than on a lot of podcasts I've listened to. Kudos to you guys. I'm very happy to help turn you onto HERO. There's a lot of great material out there (you might consider talking with Darren when Lucha Hero comes out; Darren and Steve Long are both great intervoews.) Yeah, Lost Vikings wa a blast to work on. I also had a chance to work with the Silicon and Synapse bunch when they did the Two Towers Amiga prt for us. I wonder whatever happened to them? aylwin13
Re: Gestalt Podcast I haven't been able to finish listening to the interview, but good stuff so far Scott. I think you might have sold me on picking up a copy of Gestalt, although as much as I prefer books, it will probably be the pdf.

You're so right about Bravado Man's lack of need for a codpiece. LOL That actually occured to me when I improved it... but then I thought, "No codpiece? What doesn't go better with codpiece?" Thanks for the kind words about the production. When people tell me that in person I like to say, "Moonstew Productions... raising the bar of RPG podcasting." Then I bend at the waist and mime lifting a tiny bar with one finger, from eight inches off the floor to ten. I'd love to talk to Darren and Steve about Lucha HERO drops. Thanks for the heads up. mattingly
Re: Gestalt Podcast All Games Considered has also put out a podcast review of Gestalt. Check it out at http://www.agcpodcast.info -- episode #100. The Gestalt stuff starts roughly 10 minutes in, and goes for maybe 15 minutes or so. The woman who did the review actually bought a copy of Sidekick just to be able to review the book better.
