CptPatriot
I thought there was a reference in a Hero System book for using Extra Time to simulate a cooldown period. Does anyone know where the references is or did I just imagine it?
Tasha
Re: Using Extra Time for a Cool-Down I asked this same question here: http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php/74315
lemming
Re: Using Extra Time for a Cool-Down Thanks Tasha. Personally, I'd just kick Extra Time around to the back end (can't use for X Time After Use), reduce the value by 1/4 and forget about the "can't make other Attacks" aspect. It's clean and simple and easy to use and understand. This is pretty much what I came up with while talking to cptpatriot last night in chat. CptPatriot
Re: Using Extra Time for a Cool-Down I was trying to see if the ruling in question had been published in one of the books.
ghost-angel
Re: Using Extra Time for a Cool-Down I don't believe it has. Or, rather, if it has I couldn't find it on a run through of the most likely culprits for such a thing.

Or' date=' rather, if it has I couldn't find it on a run through of the most likely culprits for such a thing.[/quote'] Close in Robot Warriors where some weapons are built with recharge times. Unfortunately, they didn't show their work. I had notes that put it down as one step down the time chart from Extra time (listed as Delayed Activation) So less of a disad than Extra time which actually fits in with your proposal fairly well. Daltwisney
Re: Using Extra Time for a Cool-Down There is a version of Limited Power in the APG (p144) called Delayed Use which is defined as a 'cooldown period'
