oldstar
I'm trying to write up a guy who has a very malleable body. One of the things he can do is stretch his body out in a thin sheet to protect others. Does it make sense to give him Barrier with Feedback + Configurable + Opaque + Nonresistant + No Range + Costs END to maintain + Concentration 0 DCV? If the Barrier is destroyed, the game effect is that the pain is too much and he has to un-stretch?

Hyper-Man
Re: Stretching as a Barrier That's actually more detail than what I did with my 5e version of Plastic Man. Looks like you have a good handle on it.

Christopher
Re: Stretching as a Barrier You may want to add some sort of Lockout limitation' date=' but looks good to me.[/quote'] I am almsot certain that using "Concentration, throughout" takes care of that. Armitage
Re: Stretching as a Barrier Champions Powers, p. 319. Stretching Powers. Body Barrier: Barrier 12 PD/12 ED, 10 BODY (up to 8m long, 3m tall, and 1/2m thick), Dismissable, Opaque Sight Group (73 Active Points); Feedback (-1), Costs Endurance (to maintain; -1/2), Lockout (-1/2), No Range (-1/2). Total cost: 21 points. Lockout represents that "While he’s a wall he can’t move, attack, or do anything else; all his effort goes into creating and maintaining the wall shape." They also note that the PD, ED, and BODY should be bought equal to the character's.
Christopher
Re: Stretching as a Barrier They also note that the PD' date=' ED, and BODY should be bought equal to the character's.[/quote'] Maybe not. Against Feedback damage you can apply the defenses of the Barrier/Entagle and your own defenses. So you need to be carefull to not become too tough agaisnt attacks. Also note that barrier is only important if it should block area of effect attacks with the right special effect (normally area of effect can just circumvent barriers, there are no "shadows" created by obstacles. So what you aim at might just be the Special Effect of Blockign ranged Attacks/using deflection.
Matt Holck
Re: Stretching as a Barrier most area of effects special effects have shadows and conforming perhaps, indirect area of effects could pay an extra quarter

I wouldn't require Missile Deflection with Stretching, I would use the rules for Interposing (6E2 page 128)
