t-bear
I'm working on a character who's "power" is actually the droids he builds. So, for instnace, in combat rather than shooting a gun, he'll have 5 or 6 little floating ball robots flying around shooting or some such. Anyone have any ideas on a good way to build this? eepjr24
Robots... Sounds like a gadget pool with Robots as the foci. Or, if the robots could not be targeted seperately, perhaps they are just SFX of a VPP with extra time to start. Or the foci of a multipower with all the powers bought variable SFX, robot of opportunity. heh. Anyway, tons of ways to do this, if you describe and give more info about the limits of the power we can help you more. - Ernie
JmOz
OR You could build it as a summons, 100% loyal, limited group (Robots I created)
Sociotard
OR Its an Energy blast with the Indirect advantage (its listed as such in FREd) and a Focus limitation.
bjbrown
The robots could be Followers as well. If you can change robots from time to time, they could be parts of a VPP. Or you could have a mix of it all- a Follower for that one loyal utility robot who always accompanies you, a Summon for those combat robots that you occasionally pull out of the closet, and a VPP for those small robots that you can modify on the fly to deal with specific situations. BNakagawa
5 or 6 floating robots that shoot people? One shoots at a time: Multipower All can shoot at the same time: Followers.
dugfromthearth
basically if these are independent robots that can do at least limited thinking and acting on their own, buy them as followers or summoned creatures - probably automatons. if they are simple one trick devices that just happen to be floating in the air or on the ground beside him, then buy them as powers through OAF foci.
