IndianaJoe3
I'm creating a hero with telekinetic powers. One power I'd like him to have is the ability to block hand-to-hand attacks from range. Deflection seems appropriate, but it only works against ranged attacks. Would Limited Telekinesis work for this, or would something else be better?
ghost-angel
I would be inclined to let this fall under Blocking For Someone Else. Using one of two Power options to let this apply: Allow your Telekinesis to act as "within Reach" if the target is within Range of your TK Power. Or buying Stretching with the SFX of "ranged telekinetic block" - which is probably the more kosher way of doing it as that can technically be allowed to use Combat Maneuvers that doing so with TK is frowned upon. bigbywolfe
I agree with Stretching being the most likely to be approved by a GM. Just remember that you may occasionally suffer the effects of someone's Damage Shield with that build.
Tom Cowan
maybe Block with Usable on others, granter controls the power totally, ranged FX of TK? Defensive Block: 1/2 Phase, +1 OCV, +3 DCV, Block, Abort, Ranged (+1/2), Usable By Other (+1/2), Grantor pays the END whenever the power is used, Grantor controls the power totally (30 Active Points)
Hyper-Man
I'd suggest creating a few custom* HTH Martial Maneuvers to go with TK and require Fine Manipulation. *Primarily to build them without DCV Modifiers which would typically not be applicable when combined with TK. IndianaJoe3
After considering the choices, I've decided to run the Limited TK option past the GM. It seemed to be the cleanest build, and doesn't raise any issues with feedback or minimum costs. Thanks everyone for your input!
