Alewis478
So my Native American hero bought a contact with "very useful skills" (or extremely useful, I forget the terminology). I have the contact listed as an Ancestor Spirit but I haven't detailed anything else. Now I'm having trouble coming up with skills an ancient Native American would have that would be "very useful" to my character. Survival sure. Ideas would be appreciated. Instead of ancient I might have to make it a more modern. A grandfather maybe

steriaca
Why not the Southwest? That is where the white father pushed them to.
Lord Liaden
Navigation, Tracking, Weaponsmith (muscle-powered weapons). Animal Handler could extend to other beasts than horses, such as canines (including wolves), bears, or birds. Languages. possibly including Plains Indian Sign Language. If you don't want to lump everything to do with existing in the wild under Survival, Skills for more specific purposes could have a higher roll. E.g. KS: Indigenous Plants (edible/poisonous/medicinal), KS: Animal Behavior, PS: Hunting/Fishing.
Alewis478
Tracking. I should have thought of that one. He's from the northwest. He's a multiform that turns into a totem pole and totem poles were pretty much a northern tribe thing. But your ideas work just the same. Thanks guys. Greywind
Why not the Southwest? That is where the white father pushed them to. Seems to me that it would depend on which tribe the character associates with. And if you think all tribes ended up in the deserts, I'd suggest you do research on the subject. SKJAM!
Pacific Northwest could also include water-based skills; TF: canoes, rowboats, small sailing vessels; PS: Fisher; AK: Waterways, Navigation: water; KS: edible sealife, etc.
