Nolgroth
I'm hearing rumors that a Traveler Hero conversion for 6th edition might be on the horizon Which would be excellent, as I missed the opportunity for the 5th edition back in the day. rjcurrie
I suspect most failures with a genre are due to poor GMing or the players not buying into the genre in question (and even that could be the fault of the GM). Note that I am including how HERO is used for a genre as part of GMing.
shuddemell
Wow, that would be a long list... Fantasy Hero ( all veins, that is High, Low, and S&S - ported a few specific campaigns... A Thieve's World setting, Cimmeria, and then a lot of generic sandbox games) Star Hero (Ported a Lensman, played in a Star Wars port for a short time, A Fringeworthy spin-off, and am planning a WH40K port eventually) Supers (All homebrew universes) Wu Xiu Westerns (Always wanted to do a horror western - but never did) Horror (COC primarily, though I did try and use a Chill module back in the day) A Shadowrun port A "Musketeer" port with ritual magic And a Espionage/Spy thing ala James Bond... Those are the ones I can think of off-hand, more will probably come to me.
Nicholiathan
Aside form the Champions superhero campaign we've been playing since the 80's, I've run a brief game based on the Negima Manga & Harry Potter. Set in The Briarwood Academy, a school for gifted youngsters at the turn of the 21st century the players were high school freshmen. Their classmates included a sentient robot, a ghost, an orc, an apiring steam punk engineer and many wizards. It didn't run long but I'd love to revisit it. Christopher R Taylor
These are the variants of Champions that I've run over the years (that I can recall): Hughes Academy - school for kids with superpowers Chicago Watch - bronze age setting supergroup Detroit Watch - spin off of Chicago Watch, dark Champions in a city controlled by Viper Up from the Dust - post apocalyptic game from Viper sourcebook; PCs playing rebels using viper gear against superhero tyrants Golden Age Champions (current game) I've run several Fantasy Hero campaigns as well, but they've all been roughly the same cloth with different groups of adventurers.
