Tech
If a villain is using Shrinking and the target hero doesn't perceive the shrinked person, what combat modifiers would you apply? Does the shrinker get an OCV bonus? Does the hero get a DCV penalty? etc.
JohnnyAppleseed098
I would give one who is being attacked a "Surprised" Penalty.
Christopher R Taylor
Yeah I'd treat it as surprise: half DCV, half location penalties, etc. House Rule: I treat surprise attacks differently. Instead of doing double stun, I have them go against half CON. That way the target is more easily stunned but not knocked out. Reasoning? When you walk into the cupboard door by accident, you're not knocked out cold, but it hurts a lot and stuns you.
Netzilla
I use either the Surprised or Surprise Move rules depending on if the target is expecting a fight or not (see Champions Complete pg 147).
ghost-angel
There are Size Difference Modifiers for OCV & I would also apply a Surprise OCV Modifier to the attack...
