  1. The details contained in an export are entirely dependent on the export format chosen.

For STR Minimum, it will only auto-calculate if you enter the actual value -- select the appropriate range to get the right Limitation value and then change the text from a range (e.g. 10-15) to a specific value (e.g. 13).

  2. The EP is adding its bonuses in the secondary roll value (not the primary). It's doing this because the Detect is bound to the Characters PER roll.  The PER roll for the character will only take EP with all Sense Groups into account for the primary roll, but has been using all EPs regardless of Sense Group for the secondary, due to the number of options possible (you can purchase EP for the Sight Group but then add in other Sense Groups or individual Senses).  The secondary roll was meant to show the max possible.

That said, I'm removing that behavior.  Only Enhanced Perception purchased for all Sense Groups will add to the PER roll (and be reflected in the rolls for any Detects). Limited EP purchases will not be automatically added in, even if they match the sense group of the Detect.

  3. All loaded prefabs have the same impact on memory as if they were part of the character.

Unless HD is giving you low/out of memory errors, don't worry about the meter -- there are a number of intricacies in how Java handles memory that you need to understand before paying much attention to that.

If you're getting low/out of memory errors from HD, first and foremost look to how many prefabs you have loaded (not just what you're actively working on). Unload those that you don't need. If that's not an option, then look to increase the amount of memory that you're giving to HD.

  4. You're applying those Modifiers (both the Advantages and Limitations) to your STR. All of it.  So the character would have no STR unless they spent a full phase preparing, and then only against targets that were on the ground.

You're looking for a Naked Modifier, with the Advantages applied as the Naked Modifier and the Limitations applied to the Naked Modifier.

  5. 1. You don't import files into HD.  You just open them.

    2. If you're looking to open a character, the only filter that HD uses is the extension on the file (looking for .hdc files).  That's it.  If the files are not showing up when you browse to the directory that they're in, then they are not .hdc files.  The same is true for all other file types in HD (loading a prefab will look for .hdp files, etc.)
