How long should it display "Loading plugins" before finally finishing loading?
About 1-3 seconds. Longer (blocking on that) likely means that you're trying to run from a directory that you do not have full access to -- HD is waiting for directories/files to be created and the system is not allowing it.

I believe the code is still owned by the original author (as I've seen nothing donating it to open source), with the IP owned by DOJ.

The MATH container is going to use the HERO System rounding rules (don't get me started...) and output whole numbers only. You'll need to look to use scripting internal to your export (e.g. JavaScript in an HTML export) to sum and display values with 2 decimal places.
-
Three containers/tags that should help:
<!--TOTAL_CARRIED--> - gives the total weight of carried items<!--IF_CARRIED--> ... <!--/IF_CARRIED--> - container that will only have contents included if the item is carried
<!--IF_NOT_CARRIED--> ... <!--/IF_NOT_CARRIED--> - container that will only have contents included if the item is not carried

1. Ensure you have admin access on your system before performing administrative tasks like changing file associations.
2. As mentioned earlier, Google "jarfix" - the first result will point to a download that you can run to correct the file associations on your system.
-
Either do the "math" for doubling the purchased amount in your head during gameplay or edit the Power writeup in HD.

You shouldn't need to modify the jar file itself (that would make applying updates...difficult). You're just looking at an extension template. If you want to get really tricky and modify the rules followed by the builtin templates, there's some fun you can have with HD's class path -- put the template to override in the same directory as HD6.jar (with the same name as it has in the jar file itself) and it should be found first in the class path search. Just make sure you do that for something like Superheroic6E.hdt, and not Main6E.hdt - you want any updates to the base templates to take effect when you update HD6.jar.
-
You'd need to create a custom template to do it "officially". Model the template definition off of Density Increase and you should have most of the tags/attributes that you need for the ability, though it'll still be slightly kludgy when approaching the 40 point limit.
-
Also, you may want to read you END example a bit more carefully. If you only want +2 END you still pay 1 point, not 2/5 of a point. If you want +6 END, you pay 2 ponts.

HD is following the rules of the system, as you have been told multiple times.
If you would like to have a discussion about changing those rules, you're talking to the wrong guy - you want Steve Long.
It would have been MUCH easier to code HD to round everything (even non-calculations like base points) the same way...even with the utterly nonsensical rounding rules that the system uses (1.49999 "rounds" to 1.4 which rounds to 1). But that's not how the system works and not how Steve has defined it.

yeah, the warnings on startup have been there for a year or so -- they're just in the trace.log file and don't cause any issues. Part of the print to PDF functionality -- since I'm not likely to be updating jruby, it's not going to be an issue.

Vondy - you know better. STOP making it personal - discuss the issues, not the poster. You, in particular, need to tone back your rhetoric and, perhaps, pay attention to how you're coming across.

The problem was in the displayed value, rather than the more generic range value calculation (meaning: it was limited solely to Clairsentience).
There's a new update posted which should address the issue.

HD is following the rules of the system. For someone who knows the rules as well as you claim, you should be able to find a reference that is directly out of 5ER and Sidekick.

Not my job and not the purpose of this forum.
HD is following the rules of the system.

Read the rules.

Do you have Java 8? Assuming so, do you think the copy you have installed is going to stop working, should Oracle take Java private going forward?
Yes, HD will continue to be a Java application.

4th Edition chargen: likely more work than it would ever return. The system has moved on -- there's an ever-diminishing audience that would want a 4th edition chargen, making the proposition a hard one to justify beyond pure sentimentality.
Non -Java HD: potentially, but MAJOR hurdles in the way. You have the upfront effort to convert the codebase over to iOS/Android/Windows/MacOS/Linux implementations, plus the ongoing maintenance of what would then be multiple codebases, support for any changes to the system going forward (7th Edition, etc.), and general support across platforms. Non-trivial. And with an ever-diminishing audience for PnP RPGs. It would need to be more of a labor of love than even HD was.
While I'm completely open to people using the existing codebase for HD for other projects (including chargens), any products based off of said codebase would need to have an arrangement going in for ongoing royalties or up-front reimbursement - I've put a large amount of work into the code...while I'm not dependent on it, nor do I want to just give it away.

If you are a CONSUMER using Java for individual, personal use, you will continue to have the same access to Oracle Java SE 8 updates as you do today through at least the end of 2020. In most instances, the Java-based applications you run are licensed separately by a company other than Oracle (for example, games you play on your PC are likely developed by a gaming company). These applications may run on the Java platform and be dependent on Oracle Java SE 8 updates beyond 2020.

Also, if it helps, it is very much "something for nothing". You're looking to get a "partial level" in Multiform for free. There are no partial levels. SPD is the only ability that comes close. You want 1 level in Multiform? You pay 1 point and get 1-5 points' worth. You want 2 levels? You pay 2 points and get 6-10 points' worth.
-
-
Rounding of points is not in the character's favor -- you don't get something for nothing. Every five points of Multiform (for example) costs 1 point, regardless of how many you actually use. 1-5 points of Multiform costs 1 point. 6-10 points of Multiform costs 2 points. And so on.
-
Ah...that does change it, then...and makes the MP approach make a lot of sense.
-
I suspect you may be over-thinking it. The character has the ability to be safe in a highly radioactive environment (for example). Unless you're purchasing the ability as costing END, it doesn't matter if it's there when he's at the bottom of the ocean -- it's not needed, but it's also a passive ability that isn't doing or costing anything. The only point at which it would conceivably come up is if the character were surprised by a sudden change in environment -- with the MP approach, he'd have a segment or two before he could activate the slot in the MP (potentially).
I think where people are taking issue is with the cost-savings/munchkin approach to putting the individual LS builds into an MP. You're HIGHLY unlikely to ever be in an environment where all LS abilities need to be present at the same time, so placing the abilities into low-cost slots in an MP (with the total cost amounting to less than that of Total Life Support) is kinda skirting (or taking advantage of) the rules. If the effect of only having _some_ LS present at any given time is important to you and the GM has an issue with the cost-savings approach, you could either place a Limitation on a straight LS build or purchase the MP such that the cost amounts to the same as Total Life Support, since the potential limitations on the MP approach are so slim as to not really be worth any points.

As stated in the installation instructions: install to a directory that you have full access to. Even as an administrator on the system, Windows UAC will block you from writing to certain directories (C:\Program Files among them).
Try your desktop, documents directory, or home directory.
