Re: Superheroes and Religion I'm kind of curious as to how they come to the conclusion that these characters are of thier particular religion. Some of them I know for certain since they've flat out said so in the comics but what of others? Or have I not not read enough comics in my life?

Re: When Bad Translators Attack! Ironically a fair number of the toys down there are various Batman figures I collected over the years. However the records are my mom's and if I started using them as weapons she would likely kill me.

Re: What Comic Book Titles are you Buying (Not Reading, Buying) I've been buying mostly the various Spider-Man and X-Men titles as well as New Avengers, Nightwing and Green Lantern. I've also been getting stuff in Marvel's Ultimate line. I normally read all of them but I've either haven't had the time or made time to read any of them and as a result I'm over a year behind in all my reading.

Re: The original 1934 Superman Strip It's cool seeing some of the original stuff, makes it interesting to see how the character has evolved over the years. As a side note, seeing how Supes was trying to get info from that guy made me think of that web site with the old covers of the comic showing Superman being a dick.

Re: Hybrid Characters Archetypes make for good springboard in terms of character creation. I'll sometimes use an archetype in a somewhat broader way, it's more of a way to describe or classify a character for simplicity. If there is somekind of "crossover" in terms of what thier powers are or what they can do, if it fits with the character concept and makes sense then it's no big deal.

Re: Character trick suggestions? I was suggesting using density increase with shrink not growth. Just be this tiny little thing that hits with the force of an 18 wheeler.

Re: The cranky thread I've considered talking to him as an option but something tells me that it may not do much good. I'm a part-timer and from what I've heard, he doesn't believe that part-timers should have weekends off since they don't work that many days. I also heard that he wasn't intending to give me the time off to begin with. This is a guy who, when he asked another part-timer to stay for an extra hour, rolled his eyes when she told him she couldn't becuase she had to leave at her scheduled time to pick up her kids from school. It was also recently brought to his attention that the entire staff had issues with him and he didn't care. I'm thinking the time for me to jump ship is long over due.

Re: The cranky thread I just got my work schedule for next week and I discover that I have to work during one the three days I requested off for an anime con. The worst part is that I made the request a month in advance. I have been in some ways generious with my time. I have come in during my days off, come in early and even stayed late when they asked. But suddenly I can't get one gorram weekend off.
