  2. Re: Musings on Random Musings Luck! Hopefully you're just using the Harn world and not the system...
  3. Re: The cranky thread This kind of thing is among the many reasons that I don't store stuff in fridges at places I work. When I bring food, I just bring one day's worth at a time. Being out of the fridge for a couple of hours until lunch isn't going to kill anything, and then I don't have to worry about some lowlife stealing it.
  4. Re: The cranky thread Something similar happened to a coworker of mine recently. Someone actually had the balls to not only steal a bottle of water that her name was written on in sharpie, but they then just drank half of it and put it back in the fridge. I just don't understand how people think that is a reasonable thing to do.
  5. Re: Musings on Random Musings More like Gummi Bears, but coated with sour stuff. Delish.
  6. Re: Musings on Random Musings Ummm, 'cause they're good?
  7. Re: A Thread for Random Musings WOOT!!! I somehow managed to luck into getting a room in the "it's been full for 2 weeks now" DunDraCon hotel!!! If this is what I've been saving my luck for all these years, I'm satisfied.
  8. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Well, seriously, would you...DO anything with something that MB sent over? As far as the slight pause in the sentence, I had to phrase it delicately. There are people pretending to be young teens around here.
  9. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I didn't say I was going to...ehem...DO anything with them. Just that I had nothing to FEAR from them.
  10. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER MB, I'm a Scotsman, remember. I have nothing to fear from sheep, Cyber Ninja or otherwise.
  11. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Dude, nice thing about trademarks is that if you don't enforce them, you lose the rights. I'd say someone doing the Happy Dance for 30+ years without getting contact about a trademark violation qualifies as a lack of enforcement. So there
  12. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Dude, I've been doing The Happy Dance since I was a tike! Learned it from Snoopy himself!!!
  13. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER congrats! *Joins in on the whole Happy Dance thing*
  14. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Tequilla is okay, particularly when mixed with ice, lime jiuce and Grand Marnier. My first experience with Tequilla though was at an apartment-warming party (mine and a friends). She likes tequila but it knocks her out, so she was planning on drinking several shots as the party was winding down and then heading to bed. She also doesn't like drinking it alone, but no-one was interested in drinking it with her. So I volunteered. I had 3 whiskey sours in me at that point, and drank them fast enough that I kind of almost had a buzz. I drank triple shots to her singles. She drank four (so 12 for me) and then her fiance had to help her to her room, where I understand she passed out. I went back to drinking whiskey sours... I have this annoyingly high tolerance for EthOH.
  15. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER While not a BAD idea, I don't actually like beer... Single malt scotch on the other hand...
  16. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER TWEEET! (Ref steps in and signals the play dead) Oversharing, roughing the reader. Three beer penalty. Play on...
  17. Re: Musings on Random Musings "I've got a plan so cunning you could pin a tail on it and call it a weasel."
  18. Re: Musings on Random Musings Good books. Good movies too... I don't know how widespread the use of maggots are currently, but the hospital pharmacy I work at doesn't stock them. We do however stock leaches. Although we are looking into stopping that if we can find an outfit that can consistantly supply rush orders. The problem with stocking them is that being living things, they eventually die if they aren't used. And my understanding is that they are expensive, being that growing sterile leaches is difficult.
  19. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Found out something odd at work today. A bit of history for those of you who don't work in Pharmacies: Any refrigerator or freezer in a Pharmacy in Colorado must have it's temperature measured and recorded in a log once per day. In the hospital we recently built on a new campus we have all sorts of cool equipment, including sensors for the 'fridges and freezers that are tied into the building automation equipment, and therefor have a constant recording of temps. Recently the State Board of Pharmacies came through on an inspection, and one of the things we were gigged for was not having logs of the temperatures of the 'fridges and freezers on the new campus. When it was pointed out to them that we had electronic logs that are backed up in two locations on site, and which rotate off site as well, they said that isn't acceptable. So now the staff has to take a hand measurement each day and record it in a manual logbook. Sigh...
  20. Re: A Thread for Random Musings Must...sleep...
  21. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER And even that was done as a joke.
  22. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I always figured it was people that don't have enough problems of their own, so they have to go out looking for ones that don't exist.
