  2. What trait(s), exactly, is/are needed to make the occupant of an OIF armor completely sealed off from air/liquids/the outside world? Impermeable does this with skin contact, but nothing else. Self-Contained Breathing supposedly cuts off air contact, but that is a little too encompassing (such as with certain SCUBA gear that exposes portions of the wearer's body to air/liquids).
  3. Re: Are single climate/habitat worlds really possible? "Traveling through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy! Without precise calculations we could fly right through a star, or bounce too close to a supernova and that'd end your trip real quick, wouldn't it?"
  4. Re: Are single climate/habitat worlds really possible? Science-Fiction elitism? Oh no!
  5. Re: Are single climate/habitat worlds really possible? What is Trantorian?
  6. Re: Do you give differing accents to fantasy races? In a Forgotten Realms campaign, Sembian citizens mostly had French/Italian accents.

  8. Re: What skills are necessary for a trial? Excuse me, Rapier, but it is a little presumptuous to state that, I have played, and even game mastered, sessions where one player character's plot development took center stage, and the other players did not lead a revolt against the GM. Just as it is possible to run a session where the typical ensemble cast formula does not result in a stellar experience, it is possible to run one where the opposite is true. Oh, and do keep in mind the other player characters aren't exactly useless in a trial. They too have ways to contribute beyond merely sitting in their designated seats. Also, we are are part of a hobby that encourages creativity and thinking outside the box. I would appreciate it if you did not needlessly downplay a certain type of gaming . --- This is very interesting stuff. Would you say this is indicative of a mostly realistic sort of proceeding, or could it also handle comic book trials (where it seems villains are always getting out early)?
  9. Re: Are single climate/habitat worlds really possible? The entire planet is a city. I don't think there's much room for farms. http://irregularwebcomic.net/386.html http://irregularwebcomic.net/393.html http://irregularwebcomic.net/396.html http://irregularwebcomic.net/417.html http://irregularwebcomic.net/431.html Don't forget invasive species catching a ride with some grains being transported.
  10. Re: Ben 10: Alien Force -Season 3 (6E) I can't wait to see the next!
  11. Re: Are single climate/habitat worlds really possible? Not to mention the Department of Sanitation .
  12. Re: Are single climate/habitat worlds really possible? The water would be another issue too.
  13. Re: Do you give differing accents to fantasy races? And, of course, Hobgoblins with thick Slavic accents.
  14. Re: TVTropes's opinion about the latest edition of the HERO System It is the Max Von Sydow factor.
  15. Re: What skills are necessary for a trial? How many rolls, and in what order, would they typically go in? I'm trying to simulate a trial that is more than just one roll, or a pair of opposed rolls.
  16. Re: What skills are necessary for a trial? Though it is not a skill, Luck seems handy, particularly because a good roll can result in a wholly new piece of evidence from out of nowhere or even a new witness. Is this a fair assessment of the trait's usefulness in a trial?
  17. This includes both realistic trials and TV drama show trials that are usually more exciting.
  18. Re: Are single climate/habitat worlds really possible? Coruscant comes fairly close, because a LOT of food has to be flown in every day. How much is a lot? Last time I checked, at least seventy-two planets are solely dedicated towards food production for Coruscant alone.
  19. Re: TVTropes's opinion about the latest edition of the HERO System Uh oh, my Sarcasm-Meter is on the fritz again, so I can't discern the intent of your post .
  20. Re: Are single climate/habitat worlds really possible? I suppose then, that planets like Hyda IV, Risa, Zeltros and the like would have to be purely artificially made/organized and maintained? Note that I have nothing against this occurrence (as I am a fan of science fiction). Rather, I was just curious as to how "realistic" it is.
  21. Re: Do you give differing accents to fantasy races? Multiple sources have been brought up, so perhaps the idea is even older than that?
  22. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Champions?from=Main.HEROSystem However, the "beef" with the system wasn't explained in full, so I would appreciate someone explain this to me.
  23. That is to say, a world with nothing but rain forests, nothing but beaches, etc.
