Re: The Last Word My take on the situation is that the opponent -- I think his name is Simon -- tried a feint to make Stefan drop his guard, at the same time Stefan made a lunge. End result: Much pain and humiliation.

Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Things to make a kendoka happy: Winning the first ever match you enter. Getting praise for your fighting spirit. Making a chrystal clear hiki men -- three out of three referees voted in favour of an ippon! Getting a hug from your Sensei with the words that he's proud of you. Having the Coach swearing at you, he's so happy. So, all in all, it was an OK weekend.

Re: The Last Word I just had a look on my upper arms in a mirror to se the huge purple marks left by my opponents of yesterday. I just had to laugh. And I can't figure out what some find so icky about menstruation.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings Aaaargh, I got a chrystal clear Ippon! And I won the match! Lost the other three matches of yesterday, though, but I was so far outclassed that I don't mind. Much. Suffice to say, all the objectives of the Championships were achieved, and then some! I'll try to find some pics to link to, but not yet . . .

Kyu grades only -- the Dan people are limited to the team competition. I'm pretty cerain that I'll die horribly, but none the less, I'm psyched outta my little skull . . . ^^
