  1. APGII p. 29 under Killing Attacks gives a GM the option to allow a character to declare which Characteristic adds damage to a HKA in the same way STR does.

So INT can be made to add damage to a HKA.

    --

This leads to a new Advantage called Multiple Characteristics (+1/4) allowing a character to define two Characteristics that can add damage & switch between them as a Zero Phase Action.

STR Or INT (+1/4) would make a great Naked Advantage for a character with lots of INT.

  2. Point Value Of Base:

Dodge is 15 points (5 points per +1 DCV).

    Martial Arts Maneuver Elements Value:

    Abort is +10.

    DCV+ is +10 (+5 points per +1 DCV).

TOTAL = 35 active point value

Trigger (+1 advantage) for Martial Dodge (the above 35 points) costs 35 character points & costs 3 END every time it is used.

  3. "You have reached the Batcave. The Batman is not in the cave right now. If this is an emergency, please activate the Bat Signal. If you are a supervillain trying to uncover the Batman's secret identity, please leave a name, number, and a good time to capture you. If you are a supervillain hoping to taunt the Batman by boasting of your next dastardly crime, please leave an enigmatic rant including ambiguous clues that will permit the Batman to heroically foil your plans...."

What is the beginning of eternity,

the end of time & space,

    the beginning of every end

& the end of every race?

  4. If the character has two of everything the 5-point doubling rule works.

The 5-point doubling rule demands that all extra weapons and gadgets must be identical to the original.

I take this to mean that they all must have the same build.

If the builds are identical I would allow each back-up to have its own distinct motif for the sake of maintaining two different alternate identities.

    --

For Computers Followers Vehicles & Bases the 5-point doubling rule is even more flexible allowing any other build as long as the point totals are equal or less.

    Automatons are probably the same.

  5. That's the second or third time I have seen you suggest Summon for something it is clearly not suited for. The rules pretty specifically call this out as not allowed.

    6e1 p288

    Twice recently.

This and the magic missile which I was inspired to suggest by the nega-beam precidence mentioned below.

Interestingly, (while I don't disagree), the champions powers book breaks this rule and barely makes mention of it, with the "nega-beam"

    Exactly.

I don't disagree either. However I am still open minded about Summoning's potential.

As an alternative you could by 12 SPD (Only For Drains; -1) & say it works on top of the character's SPD every segment.

    --

Or you could give 12 SPD (Only For Drains; -1) to a Computer a wearable Automaton or a pocket sized Follower.

  6. Summon invisible stealth magic missiles ahead of time & hide them in a sleeve.

When commanded to attack the missiles fly around until they hit the target.

After making contact the magic missiles pop doing damage & for each missile a zap of arcane energy shoots from one of the wizard's fingers.

Mundane witnesses will fail to actually see the missiles traveling & will only note the unerring seeming cantact discharges.

  7. Nope the earliest version of that optional rule suggested that Mentalists use Ego for initiative.

    I believe it.

It WAS an optional rule to allow Int to resist Mental abilities for Computers and things that have an Int Score, but no Ego.

Interesting. All I can find is this from both Champions Powers 6e & USDB 5e:

"Speed Of Thought": +20 INT (20 pts); Costs END (-1/2). 13 pts.

The character can hyper-accelerate [the character's own] thought processes enabling [the character] to reach conclusions faster than the fastest computer.

Have there ever been any gender pronoun disclaimers?

  8. ONE DARK NIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY,

TWO DEAD BOYS WENT OUT TO PLAY.

BACK TO BACK THEY FACED EACH OTHER,

DREW THEIR SWORDS AND SHOT EACH OTHER.

A DEAF POLICEMAN HEARD THE SHOT,

AND CAME AND GOT THEM TWO DEAD BOYS.

IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE THIS STORY THAT'S TRUE,

ASK ANY BLIND MAN, HE SAW IT TOO.

  9. APGII p. 69 says EGO is used instead of DEX for determining the initiative of mental powers.

Iirc in a prior edition INT was suggested for this purpose.

I prefer INT. To me it speaks to the speed of thought.

IMHO even PRE (of mind) as a temporal notion would be better than EGO if used as mental initiative.

But I still prefer INT. EGO & PRE already have so much going on.
