Re: A Thread for Random Musings So I've been stuck in New Jersey on business all week, suffering with intermittant wireless internet through the hotel, and other than that the trip goes really well. The customer site is happy, I'm getting praise for my handling of the situation, and I'm very ahead of schedule. I'll finish up by end of next week, when it was predicted to be a 3 week or longer project. Of course I should have known it couldn't stay this good. I'm sitting in Newark Airport, 2 hours after my flight should have taken off and am just now finding out my airplane is leaving.... Milwaukee. Meaning it's another 2 hours before it gets here, and then a 2 hour flight back to Milwaukee. The best part is, they don't announce that the flight is delayed or anything till just 5 minutes ago. They didn't even have anyone manning the gate. Most of us were beginning to get worried the flight was cancelled, except it was showing up on the boards still. Ah, the 'wonderful' feeling of travelling. God I can't wait to get home.... though I have I fly back out on Monday morning.

Just be glad Achilles isn't here, I'm sure he'd have something to say about those claws... Although that reminds me, We should see about getting descriptions for Bushbaby, Howler, Spider, Monkeyshines, Kong and Dr. Simian available for Mangog. I wonder if Mangog could do a comission of Tachyon beating the tar out of Spider....

Re: New powers help Well if the character can grow things as well as shrink them, then here are some suggestions: Force Wall: That pebble at my feet is now a boulder I can hide behind Drain vs. Attacks: That bastard sword of yours would hurt Mr. Sword, except now it's the size of a butter knife Shrinking, usable on others: Pretty self explanatory I think In the Avengers West Coast comic, Henry Pym used a gadget pool of items he had shrunken down in his pockets, including such items as a shield, his 'Rover' vehicle and other useful items. Probably treated as a VPP of some sort. Those are all I can think of off the top of my head...

Re: Global Guardians - Champs by email (review) If I recall correctly, the majority of the Teleporting Martial Artists were washed out during the reboot, having never finished the audits they were in or getting into a game. Looking through the character concepts for the games that are active so far, I think the urge for teleporting Martial Artists has passed now, as I'm not seeing too many of them. Of course there are plenty of the classic archetypes out there, including Blasters, Bricks and Speedsters (of which my character Tachyon was the first speedster to be accepted post-reboot).

Re: A Thread for Random Musings I'm so pissed I want to chew nails right now. I was told by the HR department lead a year ago that, as a non-salary employee I'd be eligible for more vacation time this year. Turns out that she meant I get a day and a half per year, so after 4 years I get a 2 week vacation period. Considering I'm the only non-salary employee in my department, as well as severely underpaid (I'm making nearly $20k under what is average for my job) I'm a very not happy man right now.
