Joe Walsh reacted to Hyper-Man in Need More HERO
Guys,
This thread is about folks posting their collection of HERO books, NOT discussing opinions on the state of the game.
Please start a new thread OR continue in one of the several other existing threads with that type of topic.
Thanks!

Joe Walsh reacted to Pattern Ghost in The Flash
As far as I know, the Flash stuff gets all kinds of weird. I doubt the writers will go that way with it on the show, as it'd be absurdly hard to sell to a general audience, since it gets into serious chicken-egg issues. Giving Barry a close, personal relationship with the Speed Force is certainly within the bounds of a CW show, though. They just have to give it random relationship issues and they're all set.

Here's my humble (unfinished) spreadsheet, based on the work of others (listed in HM's post, above) as well as my own customizations. It fits my needs, YMMV.

Well, if this leaves room for Bobbi to replace May, I'm okay with that. Not that I dislike May, mind you, it's just that I like Bobbi better.

There are a bunch of great reviews of early HERO stuff just recently posted by rpggeek regular and big HERO/Champions fan sdonohue.

How many folks here have a membership over at rpggeek.com?
It's a great place to keep an online inventory of what HERO stuff you have as well as what you want to get.

Joe Walsh reacted to bigdamnhero in Supergirl
Yeah, the effects have been marginal enough on a CBS budget - doing it on a CW budget would be tough. But at least we'd get more Flash crossovers.

Very, very nice, HM! And it looks like the books are generally in great condition, too.
The explanation of the package routing problems makes sense. Still, you'd think there'd be a human in there somewhere who could stop stupid stuff like that from happening. All that misrouting wasted USPS's money, so you'd think they'd spend a little to avoid those sorts of situations...just someone to spot obvious weirdness, such as a package being routed back and forth across the country.
Still, I'm glad you finally got it! Now all you have to do is read them all and write reviews. =P

Fingers crossed the loot makes it to you in the next day or two, though.

I'm a little late, but here's mine. Rulebooks, then Adventurer's Club, then everything else alphabetized.

Not yet but the latest update had the package back in Jacksonville on 4/24 so there's hope that it may arrive Tuesday or Wednesday.

"You won't be able to generate thrust or to breathe."
"Alex...I don't think you really understand how I fly."
"How DO you fly?"
"Uh...I'm not actually sure of that myself. All I know is that I'm violating Newtonian physics when I do it. I don't need air to push against. And as for breathing--I can hold my breath for a long, long time. Long enough for sure to [REDACTED] and save the world."

The MCU may not be perfect, but all the DC franchises are so deeply flawed it is embarrassing. And it's been that way for a long time now. Marvel and Feige may not be hitting every single pitch out of the park, but DC/WB isn't even making contact with the ball...

I have both because my soft cover fell apart and I had to repair it with duct tape. Still got it though. And champs I-III and 3rd edition with the Viper's Nest module I can't keep up with the publishing these days, though. I'm just glad I got stuff like Valley of Mystery and Strike Force when they came out.

You could upload your collection onto a thumb drive, place the thumb drive on a book shelf, and take a picture of the book shelf.

I like to have extras for people to use/borrow, plus I bought a couple replacements when my original copies started to fall apart (the 6E books and the 4E books had that in common--a problem with the binding coming unglued). Personally, I'd love it if my players would have bought copies for their own use, but as it was I had to practically drag some of them kicking and screaming into the light of HERO... They're smart people, good gamers, but they have a tough time grokking the way the game works.

I am now just a few books short of having a complete 1-4e collection. The same goes for 5e if only counting stuff published by Hero Games (mostly just missing a few Star Hero books, Hudson City and Mystic World). 6e is complete as far as stuff published by Hero Games. There is a lot of 3rd party 6e stuff I'd like to get but just can't afford to right now. Plus, i'd have to find a bigger bookshelf as there is barely any room left now. I'll post new pics when the last batch from ebay arrives.
