Re: Musings on Random Musings Amazingly enough, I've actually heard back from some of the voice actors when I explained what I wanted to do (create a wholly original trailer with the DBZ voice actors). And while the news is admittedly depressing (through no fault of theirs), it's nice that they wish me luck. One response went like this: Personally, I appreciate that someone "on the inside" took the time to explain to me what I'd need to do. Although it's kind of ironic - the reason I want to do the trailer in the first place is to convince FUNimation/Toei that I'm serious and I want this done, but to do the trailer, I need the permission I'm trying to get in the first place... Elrod, and got to wondering where in the world the phrase "buckwheats" comes from (I gather it is a very unpleasant thing, and the phrase has apparently been around far longer than "Things to Do In Denver When You're Dead")... Also got to see a funny-as-hell online skit called "The Internet Help Desk"... just about died laughing because it is SO spot-on. Michelle aka Samuraiko

Re: A Thread for Random Musings Had my first real day at work today... started off lousy (getting yelled at right off the bat is never fun), but true to form, after lunch, I hit my stride (guess the chocolate helped). Made sales today (not that much, but enough to at least earn my keep at work), hopefully tomorrow will be better. John's weeks are getting progressively worse, his allergies are killing him, he's not getting any sleep, and today the car died two miles from the house so he had to walk back home to call in to work to get someone to give him a ride. The rep asked the woman on the phone how she planned to build the site she wanted to host with us. After a long pause, the woman replied, "On my computer?" Re: A Thread for Random Musings Just taking a quick break from studying for my final exam tomorrow (if I don't pass with an 85 or better, I can't progress to Week Two). I compiled a list of 130 questions from our review sheets so I can study, but my brain is FRIED! Ugh... still wanna get in at least another hour or so of studying, though. Re: Musings on Random Musings *grins* I remember one night in college when a bunch of friends and I (all drunk) wandered into the local supermarket on a munchies search, and the guys were making jokes about how endowed I was. I walked over to the deli and asked the guy behind the counter if I could put my breasts on the scale so I could find out exactly how much they weighed, and the poor guy just about died laughing. That and to be fair as people get familiar many will shake out as less interested - remember, the MOST popular show or band or whatever else in pop culture in America STILL only receives the interest of a MINORITY. Maybe so, but the increase in new members and guests has been significant... *chuckles* And I'm hardly the most popular author on the board. That title, I think, belongs to Skaramine. The Prologue - 16/205 Chapter One - 56/406 Chapter Two - 113/650 Chapters Three and Four - 14/126 Chapter Five - 25/171 Chapter Six - 21/97 Trailer, Version I - 37/283 Trailer, Version II - 98/604 I wonder why so many people loved Chapter Two?
