My pc is currently 'suffering' from multiple personality syndrome (when i say multiple i mean several thousand), except the minds are real. Mentala in our campaign is...unbalanced. I mean unbalanced in power levels and general state of mind. The reasons? She has tenous controll over 3 sitharns. Every time we have met Eurostar Mentala tends to lick her lips. Regardless of whether we meet on friendly terms or not my pc is always treated as a meal. We once had the cringeworthy experience of being at the russian version of stronghold just before eurostar escaped. Suffice to say when Fiachio said 'Get out of my way children" we didnt hand around long. Of course these days we number 14 pcs all around 400-500 points, Eurostar tend to behave themselves when we are around .

    Re: The New Circle Well ive been reading the thread for a while now from time to time and am impressed both by the imagination and quality of the characters posted. So now its my turn. 'Wraith' was created for use in a one off game in which i have since decided to use another character. The disadvantages fit in with our campaign but perhaps not with the new circle. Wraith lacks a background and as such could represent almost anything from villan to hero, feel free to plagarise, edit or shoot down in flames. (does anyone know why i cant attach .mht web archives to a post?)

Not really much of a quote. scene:- The team is under attack from thanos (he has the space gem and reality) after completely trashing the main sentinel headquarters in los angeles. One of our most powerfull bricks who can actually go toe to toe with thanos has been diligently making his escape by tunneling underground away from the area while everyone else prepares to fight. Said brick intends to join thanos, something i know in character but am unable to act on for complicated in game reasons. The player has been planning this for a while with most other pc's not having a clue as to his plans. My pc is the only one who notices his tunnels (being bearer of the time gem has its benefits). While everyone is busy my pc creeps up to the tunnel and runs up and down it until it collapses (megascale running ). gm (smiling evily): to player of brick- The tunnel you have been digging collapses around you burying you alive. You think you have little air left and your arms are pinned to your body. player: "£$%***" the sound of a mars bar bouncing off my head was suprisingly loud. nb. The brick did survive afterall, having 90 str means digging your way out of the ground isnt too hard.
  4. Re: What was you most powerful Attack vs. Supervillian??? this is from a 500 point (avrg) game. well i have a strange vpp that has a variable pool size. Bascically i roll on a skill and for every one i make the roll by i get 10 active points of power. My charatcer a time controlling avatar of cronos can take extra phases by paying end; one of the bonuses of this is that when i do this i get massive ammounts of levels. The skill for using the vpp was based on ego, you can probably see where this is going. all hypothetical till i spring this on the gm....cant wait to see the expression on his face when i hit destroyer. One day miffed at his inability to even scratch a villan with his martial arts(which are quite powerfull for the campaing anyway) the intrepid hero aids his ego using the vpp for 10d6. His roll for the skill (ego based) goes up and he does it again getting an even higher power roll which in turn boosts his ego and the roll used to use the vpp. By this point the gm is looking a little mistified. I roll the skill again and suddenly have around 250 points of power to do as i wish with....i use it all for martial arts dc's which incidentally cost no end (yes i probably shouldnt be able to do this but my character is so broken in many respects). I forget to mention that i have an autofire 5 shots martial arts manouvre and 22 ocv. Suposing i hit with all 5 (costs me 5 end per hit) 68 d6 five times. splat as far as my actual biggest attack in reality....a 22d6 martial manouvre (against someone on our side in a training session). The recipient wasnt even scratched, he then proceded to find weakness on me twice and hit me with his 85 strength straight through some reinforced concrete walls, layered forcefields and the like.

GM: "Theyre politicians...." my pc (an avatar of cronos with several thousand minds crammed into his head) to mentala. "Please dont eat me!" my pc among others during phone conversation with russian premier about ceasing hostilities in a naval attack on some of our allies. my pc: "Um....if were talking peace you might want to do something about the nuclear mines i just placed all over your flagship."
  6. Re: Need help with time powers. I run a Kronos worshiping time controlling monk in a game, personally i would use a drain or supress versus speed. Special effect would be leaching all the time out of a individual gradually. In terms or game mechanics having 0 spd means you can do nothing, effectively time is stopped for you. To simulate how difficult resisting the loss of time is i use penetrating. My time controlling character is included below in .hdc, if its not too abusive it may be of use to the noob or you.
  7. Re: help with 'slo time' power design thanks for the help, i have toyed with the idea before but this sounds rather more promising than what i came up with.
  8. my martial artist lu-tze has the ability to control time to a certain extent, this mostly leads to lots of matrix style fighting and bullet dodging. lately ive got thinking about what time can actually do and what the gm will allow me to do, the list of non outrageous munchkin powers is rather short. Can anyone think of something that isnt outrageously munchkin? Due to my use of 'pull time'; esentially take an extra phase for 10 end, my character development is very limited. any help apreachiated.

Re: How would you build Temporal Immutability? speaking as lu-tze loyal follower of the order of cronos it would be some form of major transform self only, cumulative, always on, zero end, difficult to dispell, persistent, uncontrolled. of course this is all dependant on your theory of time....if you are immortal would you be changed by someone going back in time and changing things? Not ageing is kind of part way there to temporal imutability.
