  1. Re: Vitus of Clan Scorpion Thats a nicely developed character, glad i asked.
  2. Re: The Fatherless Five Well the main problem with my suggestion would be The Machine i guess- same person as all the others, but in a different timeline is responsible for the robotic takeover of humanity. Perhaps the machine was the first truly 'alive' technological entity of that timeline. The Machine (hoping for nanites and Terminator 2 Cop look ) killed his maker, but made a backup of his conciousness for further study. These days when interacting with humans The Machine often emulates his creator- it hasnt quite mastered the nuances of social interaction yet. Maybe the maker made The Machine in his own image, using his own memories a a template for the machines conciousness- well, human memorys interpreted though cold logic dont necesarily produce the same kind of response the maker was intending. Some thoughts.... I am, so, tempted to steal this idea for a group and write them up for a future game, thanks for getting the creative juices flowing.
  3. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Spread Rep around Consider me a Vitus fanboy; any chance of seeing a character sheet (if one exists)?
  4. Re: The Fatherless Five All the same person from alternate timelines?
  5. Re: The Fatherless Five Nice theme for a group! If the Pc's ever conclusively defeat the threat...well, theres always the one responsible for all those timelines collapsing.
  6. Re: Comic Book powers that don't work as well in gaming ....Someone who hasnt seen the string of films. Please lets not make it a Hostel.
  7. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I am actually itching to write this up, if only to see the expressions on my players faces when it is sprung on them Sharkogken: This is what happens when commercial ocean dumping runs unchecked. For years the US government disposed of toxic chemicals, the abortive results of supersoldier programs and Radioactives miles off the Western seaboard. Uncle Sam trusting in the ocean depths to keep rusted and poorly maintained vessels safely contained and most importantly out of the public domain. Tests with Dolphins as mine detectors had been succesfull....more clandestine operations with Mako sharks operating against enemy frogmen had not been so- and thus the project was quietly shelved, all evidence given over to the sea. 20 years on and Sharkogken is born. I am thinking sonic powers 'Cock-a-doodle-BOOM'. Now all i need is a plot hook...guess whats turned up in the Thames, snatching unwary tourists, wreaking havoc with naval equipment and setting up destructive resonances in Londons ancient bridges and waterside architecture- More than one private collector has expressed an interest and the Thames is awash with men in small boats demonstrating the pioneering spirit that built the Empire, on the other hand enviromental health ministers and the police are on sight to kill this menace- all in all Sharkogen isnt going hungry. Whatever will our heroes do? .....What? You thought i wasnt serious
  8. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Tastes like Chicken?
  9. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Storn art: now with educational subtext, get it while it lasts!
  10. Re: Top Signs that you need to rethink your GMing. This is starting to look disturbingly like a certain famous rpg.net thread about creepy gamers.
  11. Re: Villains named after Santa's reindeer? Which begs the question, who is the master of our Villainous Ruminants- surely there is a write-up of 'Evil' Santa somewhere? Detect: Naughty or Nice? Vehicle and Polar Base Little Elf followers skilled in toy and armanents manufacture. Powers of time controll or ftl movement on his sleigh to get it all done in one night- taking the presents children longed for away. Cause and effect, for every Ying there is a Yang and throughout the aeons, every 25th of December, 'Evil' Santa and 'Good' Santa have fought for domination of humanitys collective unconciousness.........What was i talking about?
  12. It occurs to me that if the results of the Villain and Hero creation polls merit it (and at the moment things look fairly promising to my mind:thumbup:) it would be great to have those characters as generated by the community introduced into the official CU universe at some point. Given the dominance of said polls on the board i am sure someone in the right place has noticed them by now... Thoughts on that, has it been done before?
  13. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. ...Or an Elf trapped in the dreams of a Golden Dragon?

  18. Re: Suggestions needed: Animal super villains I havent read the whole thread so forgive me if these have already been suggested: Bab-oom: Baboon with a thing for explosives and demolitions, somewhat of a gadgeteer. Morph: Sentient Bacterial Colony/Slime Mould, shapeshifter with regeneration, extra limbs and duplication. Also has desolidification and clinging with affects physical world- Morph infiltrates a host body and rides them to a destination, unpleasant flu-like symptoms optional. Karma: A chameleon with powers that alter probability. Comes in good and bad Karma flavours (Luck, Eb with variable special effects; must be a plausible cause for 'the accident'.) Twitch: A Woodpecker with superspeed. Able to set up destructive vibrations in objects by pecking at them (Tunneling, Penetrating HKA). Citizen Kane: A Cane Toad. Able to generate Mental Illusions.
  19. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Lets get this train wreck back on the lines... "Sorry! You know how impotent i am....impatient. *facepalm*"
  20. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... So the index pages in my Fred are stuck together by Happiness? Oh wait, its old Coffee
  21. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... The thread reaches the historic 5,000 mark and i am sorry to say it was underwhelming. Someone please cheer me up with quotes of dazzling quality. All i currently have to contribute: "We've gone from 14 players to 3 with no gm...lets call it" - now that is memorable
  22. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Sure, so long as its actually a meaningfull post
  23. Re: Eleven Lamest "Super" Villains Captain Planet anyone?
  24. Re: The Super Darwin Awards How about the time i had my Lawful Evil, but honorable, D&D character utter the fatefull words to the effect of "My life is yours, wish me dead and so it shall be" to his evil overlord known for his whimsical murderous tendencies. Then there would be the time a starhero character went on a kamikaze run. He survived, well the upper half of him did- more or less. Now he totes cyberware and certainly isnt capable of reproducing.
  25. Re: The Super Darwin Awards Our entire party once tried to teleport onto a spaceship in orbit. Now to be fair we were on target- however no-one had thought about forcefields and we bounced into the cold airless embrace of space. Okay, fine i thought. My character has no problem with enviroments like this. Sadly most of the team did, then it was noticed that there were rather a lot of defence turrets on the hull...
