  1. hi all i am starting a new star hero game, that is set in the alien wars setting. however my game starts this friday, and i won't have the money for alien wars until saturday or sunday. so i am going to make a temporary write up. let me know what you guys think. Re: Scenario up for review thank you all for your help. i think i am going to go with herolover's ideas. also the atlantians attacked beacuse the sub had seen there scared temple, where the seal is. the automated defenses took out the sub. the reactor is not leaking... Yet i am running the scenario this friday, i will let you all know how it went, thanks agian for the help P.S. rep for all

Re: Scenario up for review Thanks for the corrections, that why i posted. the heros can get down there in the Phoenix, the superjet they stole from Dr. Destroyer the depth is around 12000 feet as you said (sp) the torpedos are much smaller than modern tordepos, also why they are so manuverable. the SOSUS can't pick it up, beacuse of atlatian jamming, also why they lost contact also who are scorpion and Thresher. its not natural, its not man made, it's atlantian (also know as other ) the bouy is stuck under a huge rock out cropping the the sub was scouting this might help as well. the sub is an experiment sub the navy created to scout out the ocean floor, and establish an underwater missle base. they were scouting out the ocean floor when they lost contact with the surface. the captin decided to finish scouting the area then surface. big mistake. the sub got the close to atlantis and it luanched it's subs to elimiate the surface dwellers. hope that helps thanks for the advice
  6. hi all. i have a senerio that i would like to sound out, so here it goes. the teams mystic Riu has finally devined the location of a mystical seal. the only problem is that it on the bottom of the atlantic ocean. elsewhere the team leader learns that all contact with nuclear sub U.S.S. Trueman has been lost, and that it's last location was the atlantic. the heroes then head that way for the seal and the athorities ask them to investigate the missing sub. the heros find the subs wreckage, and more importantly, it's black box. on the black box is this recording. Man 1: Captin! i'm picking up something wired on the sonar. Captin: ensign, what do you mean by "wired"? Ensign: it's not man made or natural sir Captin: switch to active sonar. Ensign: aye, aye sir, switching to active sonar now. *bong* Ensign: jeus Christ it huge!! what the hell is that?!? *bong* Man 2: sir! active song off the port bow *bong* *bong* Man 2: Two more pings star board! Captin: what the hell is going on. prep torpedos, prepare for emegence acention, seal all bulkheads and sound the alert Man 3: Aye, Aye sir *sirens in the back ground* *bong*Bong*bong*Bong*bong*Bong*bong*Bong* Ensign: sire cantacts in all directions!! Man 2: we have confirmed torpedos Man 2: 15.. 16.. 18.. tordepos inbound Captin: acsend! acsend! Man 3: there changing cource Ensign: torpedos 500m out.. 400m 300m 200m 100m 50m contact *explosions* *screams* *static* this is humanities' first encounter with the atlantians, however these are mean people. from there the heros must find the seal and find out what happened to the sub. (the seal is in an atlantian temple) as Riu gets closer to the seal he will know better where it's located, because at the moment he just knows the general area. oh F.Y.I. the seven seal are the only things hold a dark god in his prision, but they are weakoning and need to be found, collected, and strengend let me know what you think

Re: Villainy Amok this is without a dought the best hero book i have read. it has a table for everything. i will never have to make up some lame bank robbery or encounter ever agian. thank you hero system for make a fraziled gm's life that much easier. ooh one of my pc's is in love and thinking about getting married, little does he know that i got villany amok. yay all his old "friends" are going to show up and crash the party. including Dr. D, except he won't give them a chess set and leave. he will be more difficult. oh the possiblities. yay iam going to have so much fun. best $27 i ever spent. my PC's on the other hand are going to learn to hate this book, oh well their loss. thanks Scott Bennie -night

Re: a Villian game i was thinking world conquering meglomaniac and his team. except that all the player are equal point level and are working to gether to conquer the world, once conquer they will divy it up (ya right like that'll happen). but that is the kind of game i am shoting for, also anyone who would be interested in co-gm just, drop me a line. also an idea that i had would be to use AIM, or trillian and just do that for an hour or 2 a week instead of doing PBEM. let me know what you think -night
  9. hi guys last night i was up late reading CKC getting ready for my game when i caught myself woundering what i would do as a villian. a bit later i realised that i didn't have to wounder, i could start a PBEM villian game where everyone was a villian. let me know if your interested, also i am kinda new to this so if there is someone out there who would like to co-gm with me just PM, and will talk. just want to sound out the idea for right now, don't know for sure if i am going to run it or not. one thing i would require is that all villians have a list of goals and a main goal or two. that way i can plan out the plot. well let me know what you think -night

  11. hi guys some of you may remeber a post of mine awhile ago about how my PC's trounced Dr. D. well i want that to come up and bite them in the a**. instead of just outright killing them Dr.D wants to humilate them. Preferable by doing something along the lines of setting them up to hand him the world on a silver platter. However i have no idea how to do this, any long term or short term plot ideas would be wonderful. thanks night

  15. hi all one of my players chose to take amnesia for his character. he just woke up one day and didn't remember anything. well his past is come to bit him in the A**. he was/is a member of the order of the white dragons, more specificly the last member. he has been in hiding for the past 500 years guarding the last dragon eggs. one day he was ambushed by a group of black dragon members. after a long battle in the woods he was subdued. rather than give up the location of the dragon eggs he erased his own memory. the black dragons let him go in the hopes that he might regain his memories and lead them to the eggs. one of the members of the balck dragons has gotten impatient.... he is goinf to try and "heal" back his memories. let me know what you think of the plot, also if anyone has a good write up of a black dragon mage let me know. as of now i was thinking a toned down version of dark sereph. ty night
  16. Re: Gimme a cool challenge... ok i can rep u and did backgrounds both brothers a members of a species that looks like us however at maturity they look like human teenagers. Tempest: tempest grew up on alpha centari. from age 4 his genius was evident. right now he is one of the leading minds of his people. he created his power suit to keep up with his younger brother and to protect him from his experiment. he needed a planet to test his weather control on and guess which on he chose? thats right earth. so now he is in just a bit of trouble, when all he was doing was testing his invention. Backlash: grew up in his brothers shadow and hated it. that is until he devleoped his powers. then he was the center of attention for alittle bit, until his brother built that suit. he is always seeking to out do his brother, and some times he does. however he is very... protective of his brother in the sense that nobody beats him up but me. how ever he will still go out of his way to help his brother Apperance Tempest tempest always dresses very nicly. when not in his power suit he is usaly wearing a suit. his power suit looks kinda like a black skin tight wetsuit with pieces of blue armor chest, sholders, forearms, upper arm, thighs, shins, boots, and his left hand. he has his control glove on the right hand, and thus no armor there. the suit has a small compact backpack uinit that provides life support and powers the suit. it is also the part of the weather genorator. the suits helmet looks like a blue motorcycle helmet with a black visor. he has brown hair and blue eyes Backlash Backlash dresses about the way a 16 year old would now a days. baggy pants , hoddie. you know what i am talking about. he always cares a couple lighters around with him. at all times. he uses his mental powers to get what he wants (i.e. give me 2 big macs... then go beat your self up). he uses mind control instead of money. he has blond hair and blue eyes. when he is in combat he doesn't coat himself in flames, however he does hold a fire ball in his hand at the ready. hope that is enough to peak your interest, if not let me know and i will post more keep up the good work night

Tempest is a weather control (think male storm). he gets his powers from his glove. his glove is part of a modifyed space suit that protects him from the weather. also targeting comp in helemet backlash is a pyromancer/mentalist. he is a mutant. he tendes(sp?) to dress in jeans and a hoodie. he always carries a litgher too (he can control flames, but not create them). Tempest and Backlash are brothers and look kinda alike. keep on makin purdy art

Re: Drugs YAY Drugs i finished my fame last friday and my players had a blast hunting down the druggies and such. however i realised that i didn't have a mafiaish organization set up to distribute the drugs. i know that tempast (techie weather control) and his brother backlash (pyromancer) are behind it. but i need a more detailed outline of the organization. anyone feel like throughing me a bone? ty

Re: Drugs YAY Drugs I decided to have "hype" come in diffrent "flavors" the flavors are: red, green, blue, white, black, orange, and light blue they each have the following effects red: +30 STR, +10 PD, +10 ED green: +10 DEX, +2 SPD blue: 10d6 EB uncontrolable White: 5d6 Ego Blast uncontrolable Black: 10 levels of density increase; 4d6KA side effect Orange: 130 point Pyro type villian no side effects Light BLue: 130 Point Ice/Water villian no side effects all the flavors have the following side effects except where noted: Enraged 14/8-; Phy Lim: mentally unstable, addictive the drugs will not all hit the street at the same time first it will be just red and green, then after about 3-4 sessions blue and white will hit the streets then black 2-3 sessions later. orange and light blue will be made 4-5 sessions later only one dose of each will be made. all the effects of the drugs last for an hour except orange and light blue those two are perminant. black is a failed experiment (thus the 4d6 KA side effect). i am open to suggeutions about the drugs or any idea you have for a diffrent drug. please give me your feed back nightbringer256

  23. in my game i plan on having a nasty drug hit the streets. it give people a minor power and drives them insane. i was thinking of something like this. Transform 15d6 (you get one point for stun you roll I.E. a roll of 5 = 5 points) 1 charge lasting 1 hour usable only once. Linked Transform 4d6 Normal human into human with disad, addicted to drug, (12 body). i don't know how to do the insanity part, i think i will just use a plot device. let me know what you think of my write up, also i need a name for the drug. *sigh* i am not veery good at coming up with names.
