Well the fact that unlike other systems out there change all the time Champions has always been pretty much the same game.  You can take a 1st edition character and convert him to a later edition and actually not jump through too many hoops to get there.

I once played in a Champions adventure where Dr. Draconis actually created some dragons and was terrorizing the city with them.
