The original.  Not very complex but man that killing attack is brutal.  I used him several times when I just want a near unstoppable villain.

I liked it.  I have a brick character named the Palooka that started out as a skinny wimp but became a superhero and took on bullies too.

The original 1933 King Kong is very pulpy.   The Peter Jackson one is good too.

Its biggest sin was giving the Spirit Deadpool levels of healing factor.

I almost always end up coming back to Champions.  I have run other games, Castles and Crusades, Amazing Adventures, BASH and many others but I eventually end up going back to my first love.

It wasn't my first RPG, Holmes D&D was that, or my first Superhero RPG, Villains and Vigilantes was that but I still end up getting Champions because it is the only crunchy game that I comfortable with.  Running the game just feels like putting on a pair of comfortable shoes.

Minuteman, The Ant, and my favorite Man-Bot.  The first four superheroes in the game are Mentor, Minuteman, El Diablo and Man-Bot.

This was in the Freedom Force computer game.  Freedom Force was a RTS game with the premise that people got superpowers due to an element called Energy X.  At the end of the second game it's revealed that Energy X is an actual person named Energy X.

Well, one of the complaints about the Champions universe is that there are many really uber powerful villains, but all of the heroes are of relatively lower power in comparison.  It's a wonder that they haven't taken over the world yet.

I want it to be my go to system and for a while it was, but I got tired of it after a while because I ended up doing all the work.  Nowadays I find myself preferring BASH because it's similar to Champions but a lot easie to play and run.

He is in the Big Blue Book.  I think he is almost at the end of the villain section.

I'd have no problem playing 2e.  I play 5thR because I have six copies of the core book and 5 to 6 copies of each of the "extra" books like Character Creation Handbook, Combat Handbook, etc. Plus the "collection copy" bagged and stored of each book.
For 2e I have one copy and it is my stored one.

I simply lack the ability to prep games and make characters without a paper copy in my hand.  I guess the look, feel and even the smell of a real book triggers my creativity.
