  1. I need guns and armor and everything else. I'm running a gritty Star Hero game and I need more weapons and armor and anything else that might be fun. Anyone have a source for this stuff?
  2. Anyone know where I can get my hands on an electric copy of every skill available from all the books? Disadvantages, Perks and Talents would be nice to have too. I would love to be able to pull these out when I have multiple people making characters at the same time.
  3. Re: Need help putting together a kit. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
  4. Ok, so I'm going to be starting up a gritty sci-fi campaign soon using a world I have created with a mix of many popular sci-fi settings. Some worlds are basically one big city ala Coruscant from Star Wars and the further out into the reaches you get the less technology you will find ala Firefly. The Known Universe has been split up by 3 major factions: The Federation: (PCs faction) A collection of planets that have come together under one democratic government. They have a large Navy with good tech, but not the best. The Imperium: A dictatorship run by an nebulous Emperor who no one has actually seen for about 200 years. It is actually believe he has died and a few of the higher up in the government are faking that he is still alive. They have a massive military, but lower tech than the Federation. The Galactic Economic Consortium: A bunch of giant corporations got together and claimed independence and have carved out a sizable chunk of the galaxy for themselves. They have trade agreements with both the Federation and the Imperium as both are major purchasers of technology. They have the smallest army (or so the others believe) but it is extremely high tech and consists mostly of robot soldiers. The PCs are going to be members of a Black Ops unit for the Federation and I need a Skill Kit of what they should all know coming out of training. Suggestions?
  5. Re: Fallout: A Post Nuclear HERO Game I was not a big fan of Fallout Tactics. It took everything that was fun from Fallout and threw it out. Also don't expect Fallout 3 early next year. Last I heard it will be closer to 2009. Most of the weapons and armor are real-life stuff. I would just need to write up the energy weapons and power armor really. Bottle caps as currency are definitely staying in and the dark humor will of course be there. Fortunately no one in my gaming group has played any of the Fallout games so I am pretty much going to run the first campaign as the original Fallout game. Instead of one vault-dweller it will be a team of 5 sent to find the chip to fix the water-recycling machines. Actually, the series so far has been: Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game Fallout 2 Fallout Tactics Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel
  6. So, has anyone attempted to take the beauty that is Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game and Fallout 2 and make a Post Apocalyptic HERO campaign out of it? I am thinking of doing this and would like some input or ideas. Basically I would make the party a group of Vault dwellers that are sent out to get the parts necessary to save their vault as their water purification system is on the fritz.
  7. Re: Favorite Sci-Fi Weapon Wow! I'm kind of disappointed that no one has yet mentioned the shoulder-mounted Plasma Caster that the Predator uses. Combined with that wicked tracking system. Definitely one of the coolest sci-fi weapons.
  8. Re: Disads on a suit of powered armor? Example of a power suit that replaces the wearer's attributes - Iron Man This is most common. Most suits of powered armor replace the character's stats. Example of a power suit that enhances the wearer's attributes - Master Chief's Mjolnir Armor. (from Halo)
  9. Ok, so I'm starting up a Star Hero campaign that is drawing on elements from many sci-fi series and I want the team (and the military in general) to have adopted cyberbrain conversion for secure communications and computer hacking. The problem is I really don't know where to start stating one out. If I could get some examples of a simple Cyberbrain and then where it can be expanded for a more advanced cyberbrain I would greatly appreciate it.
  10. Re: Cybermen Hold your horses. It has been reported by the BBC that Rose (Billie Piper) is not going anywhere and will be appearig in all 13 episodes next season.
  11. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. That half-tank guy reminds me of the mandroid from a really bad 80's film called ELIMINATORS ELIMINATORS
  12. Re: How about this sci-fi battle.. Certain things have to be changed for a game and specifically did not mention the game for that reason. As far as Predator 2 is concerned, you had a rookie hunter who was taken out when he got too cocky and made a fatal mistake. He was playing with Det. Harrigan and got burnt. Harrigan just outsmarted a young, inexperienced hunter.
  13. Re: Cybermen I am personally hoping to see an eventual return of the Sontarans or maybe the Sea Devils. I would also expect a "Two Doctors" episode eventually where Christopher Eccleston comes back for an episode or two to team up with David Tennant's Doctor. Hell, maybe even a "Three Doctors" with Paul McGann, Peter Davidson or Sylvester McCoy. I don't know about Sylvester McCoy, but Peter Davidson is still looking pretty good for his age.
  14. Re: How about this sci-fi battle.. Isn't that the title of the latest Street Fighter game? If you have read the comics or played any of the video games, we see the Predators purposely limit themselves in what they use as sort of a "right of passage". Examples: PREDATOR: Predator takes out Jesse Ventura with the Plasma Thrower as Jesse has a big ass gun. He takes out Hawkins (glasses) and others with his wrist blades as the have small calibre weapons or knives (Billy tried with a knife). Now this was an experienced Predator out on a solo hunting trip. PREDATOR 2: Less experienced Predator out with a hunting group and more dependent on his gadgets. He used the netgun, spear, dart-gun and disc to dispatch foes. Predator comics: When dealing with Aliens, they are usually much better armed and armored. They wear their own version of plate mail and have hand -held as well as shoulder mounted version of the Plasma caster. The have longer bladed weapons to keep them at a distance from Aliens.
  15. Re: How about this sci-fi battle.. Predators seem to have no problems with large packs of Aliens so I doubt the Reavers (even en mass) would be much of a challenge for Predators. Aliens are much nastier than Reavers. Reavers are scary in a sense of what they do to people after they capture them.
