  1. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Ahhhh, the legendary wit of RDU Neil. All 50% of it.
  2. Re: Batman vs Midnighter Iuz: Two Words - Blessed Weapons. If you ever mention that idea again I am seriously going to trigger an Intracene war between all you evil, depraved Gods, Demons, Devils and Lawyers.
  3. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. (A Wilderness, somewhere in the world. A very loud series of Gunshots and some high pitched squeling ensues.) "Gotcha you bu&&£r!" (Libra Steps out of the deep undergrowth, Wearing full Great White hunter fig, a four feet long, Blood red ball of hair, horns and teeth dangling from his hand. It is very dead.) "Ha! Jolly good sport these half-demon tribbles! Haven't Had so much fun since the Third War for Armageddon and those Jungles! And the horrendously large spiders . . ." (He visibly reminds himself where he is) Ahem. Sorry Storn, old chap. Did'nt mean to get any blood on the Jolly old carpet hwat-what. Jolly good picture, I- (A loud growling emerges from the undergrowth) "Ah Hah! That's where it's mother was hiding! Must dash, got a trophy to collect!" (He dashes off into the Undergrowth, Gun in hand.)

  5. Re: Batman vs Midnighter Friend, you have just said what has been on my mind for ages. Midnighter is a S&M Pussy Cat. He whales on wee laddies who have barely human abilities, never mind extra-human. I would purely love to see him go up against Batman or Cap. The real articles, not some Lobotimised rip-off. Cap would clean his clock. And then he'd go out and kick Mr "I kill for Fun and Profit" From Manhattan to Brooklyn without breaking a sweat. And that would be on a bad day. Batman would jusst beat the c**p out of him.
  6. Re: Atlas of Medieval America You know, this setting reminds me of S.M Stirling's series, which began with "Dies The Fire". Did anyone else spot the resemblance?
  7. Re: CHAR: Captain Awesome. Marthter, other viewerth, I will potht the Union of Juthtithe ath thoon ath I can. Which thould be thoon.(ith) All thethe Tribblth in the garden won't thlaughter themthelveth.
  8. Re: Storn Art from Idea to Full Picture Year 2 Huh. Tell me about it. And the big piles of . . . Fluff they leave on the Garden are beginning to annoy my family as well. Oh well, If I can't hunt the Tribble I might as well hunt his brood. Tally Ho!
  9. Re: Storn Art from Idea to Full Picture Year 2 Errrrr . . .Tribble, can I post on this tread? I hope so but after my little joke on Storn's art thread I felt it best to ask, Just to be sure like. I'm still hunting your little friends from the last time I made you cranky. And some of them are damn big . . . .
  10. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. No shooting the Tribble?!? Spoilsport! And I would not have shot him casually, I would have been serious about it! Actually, it was a joke. Except the bit about the quality of your work. I rather like Blue Jay. Enforcer84, if you are viewing, Lockdown just aquired a sidekick in my world!
  11. Re: Maps of Mars, Venus, and Luna Good Point.
  12. Re: Gortrek Gurnison writeup? No. It's the homicidally deranged, mohawk wearing, death-seeking dwarf with a big hurty axe from Games Workshop's Novels. He's a dwarf who fights monsters for fun and an honourable death. As you do.
  13. Re: Can Superheroes Be Too Pragmatic? Where do these . . . People Operate. I want to pay them a visit. A very painful and violent visit to knock some bl00dy sense into their idiot third-rate supervillain (lack of) brains
  14. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Probably true. Still, it might be fun hunting a Tribble. I have never done that before. Actually it was just a joke. But admit it, Storns art is worth shooting someone for. Not fatally, but certainly painfully.
  15. Re: How do you feel about Superheroes that kill? Without Morals, what seperates heros from villains? I do agree Superman can be crippled by his boy-scout mentality at times, but I would much rather have him protecting my home than Wolverine.
  16. Re: How do you feel about Superheroes that kill? This notion of moral superiority comes from my conception of superheros. I don't care who they are, what they have done or what they will do, a superhero who kills in a premeditated fashion is not a superhero to me. I don't care if he is superman, the punisher, or Judge Dredd. If that person has killed willingly, then he is a Superhero no longer. Blame my Silver-Age attitude on an exposure to Vintage comics early in my comic reading career. And what is wrong with the Man of Steel? He is an icon. He is a hero. He is a Legend. Why does every angst-ridden, leather-loving, Iron-age fetishist beat on him? He is not the hero I would wish to be, but he is a damn close second.
  17. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Two words, oh arrogant Tribble. Blessed Weapons. But seriously, no offence. I am sure all of us would commit multiple felonies just to own mr Storn's artwork.
  18. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Thanks Korvar, but I know about Mr Storn's website. And as for which bit of Death Tribble to shoot I was just joking. Mostly. A little. Well, okay if Storn said I could get free art out of it I would shoot Death Tribble, the Sherriff, and his little dog too!
  19. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Storn, I have been looking over your paintings, drawings, etc(again) and I have to say that to get my hands on one of them I would shoot Death Tribble. In the . . .Errrrrr, what is a non-lethal area of a tribble's anatony to shoot?
  20. Re: How do you feel about Superheroes that kill? I hate superheros that kill. To me there are no superheros that kill. Only second-rate villains. I don't care who he is, whatever the storyline, a superhero does not kill. If he does he ceases to be super. A superhero is not super because he can see Uranus, in closeup, on a clear day, or because he can run around the world while you sneeze. A superhero is a hero because he is morally(as well as physically superior) to normal people. I do not say that heros do not kill. I am saying that Superheros do not. Don't get me started on the Authority. Bunch of Gits the Lot of them.
  21. Re: Maps of Mars, Venus, and Luna Hmmmm . . . Fascinating. Howe would you chaps use these maps to aid in your depiction of a terraformed version of these worlds?
  22. Re: Atlas of Medieval America Seriously Gents, why not finish up this idea? It is a very interesting take on a roleplaying setting. It might need a little modification here and there but it is essentially sound.
  23. Re: CHAR: Captain Awesome. Errrr . . . Mathter, errrrr . . . . I can't thtat thir. Ith background on the Union of Juthtithe All right thir?
  24. Re: Storn's Fantasy Art, Comics and Doodles Hello Storn. Is there anything you are not good at drawing?
  25. Re: Atlas of Medieval America Why not try and finish off some of the background yourselves? This is a really fascinating idea, so why not carry it through to full term?
