  1. Re: King Kong Trailer Online I remember saying to my wife the day I read they had signed Jackson. "They have to do this as a period film, which could be really amazing". My wife said "I have never seen King Kong" and I tripped and fell down the stairs. I should be out of the body cast just in time for the opening.* Ross *I am not really in a body cast, but I thought that the fact that she had never even seen King Kong was pretty fscking shocking for a girl who calls herself a geek.

  4. Re: Character Design Theory I could go into a missive about why a design theory, as you describe it, is wrong. However that would be rude. You can min/max her to death, and it happens all the time. However what fun is that? I approach it from a more narrative angle. Build the person, then add the powers. If you are building some types of heroes this may not work, but the point is the same. I could build my hero dozens of ways, but I use the format I think best fits the style and effects of the powers. Sometimes you should use a multi-power rather than an elemental control; just because it models the power better, and not because of a points advantage. My cents,
  5. Re: O.m.a.c. OMAC means One Man Army Corps. OMAC was a super soldier who worled with the UN after WWIII to help keep the peace. He may or may not have been either the son or father of Kamandi, the last boy on Earth. He may or may not have had an alter ego of a young boy, similar to that of Captain Marvel. I no longer remember what I remember or what I dreamed when I filled in the blanks.
  6. Re: Space Fantasy/Cyberpunk Sorta Thing . . . Moorcock's Dancers at the End of Time may have some influence here as well.
  7. Re: PULP HERO -- What Do *You* Want To See? ooohhh, good call...
  8. Re: PULP HERO -- What Do *You* Want To See? I do agree that highlighting the differences between supers and pulps is a good idea. A masked vigilante isn't a superhero, and vice versa. A discussion of pulp subgenre; espescially noir, lost worlds, jungle stories, the weird orient, and the like.
  9. Any word on rumored reworkings of Danger International and/or Lands of Mystery or a "Doc Sidhe" sourcebook for Hero? I need more pulp in my diet...
