  1. Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Richard DeNasty and his dog Bowzer are the de-facto creeps in the races. Secretly, he and Decoy are lovers. He plays up the villiancy as The Purple Hood, fake 'cheeting' as Richard, and pretend kidnaping as the Purple Hood. He always tends to get away (thanks to Decoy's powers). How he keeps from being drumed out of the 'race' is another mater. (Yep, he is Richard Milhouse "Dick" Dasterly and The Hooded Claw all rolled up into one.)
  2. Re: Paradox Timely of the TED (6ed, PG-13) I thought AID with the limitation 'Only To Starting Value' did not fade (mostly because I thought fade rates were ignored once the bosted stat got down to the base stat value). My bad. Now I got to recalculate that power using HEALING.
  3. Re: Paradox Timely of the TED (6ed, PG-13) Powers Breakdown: This section gives more information on her powers, there use, logic, why, and notes. Generic Nanomachien Notes: All 'Nanomachien' powers and stats are conected by the limitation "Unified Power", but I also needed more than what the Unified Power limitation gives. This, thay also have the limitation "Limited Power (Hackable, -1/4)". What this means is that someone with some good computer skills, and the right equipment and/or powers COULD 'hack' into the Nanomachien's Programing. Once hacked, the hacker could turn powers on, off, or control there level at his will (and a few types on the keyboard). This becomes 'feasable' in the late 20th centery (othoe a normal hacker must make an imposable [10 Difiuclty] skill roll to even get in, let alone understand the code once in). Boosted Stats: Only DEX, CON, PD, ED, SPD REC, END, BODY, and STUN are boosted. There normal values are 13 DEX, 15 CON, 7 PD, 7 ED, 3 SPD, 6 REC, 20 END, 10 BODY, and 20 STUN. Again, thay are "Limited Power (Hackable, -1/4)", which means a skilled hacker could force Paradox to use less of a stat than normal, or to it's maximum when she dosen't want to. Go figure. Future-Tech Weapions: Nural Blaster (All Modes): This is the standard gun for all TED Field (Time) Agents. It is designed to 'harmlessly' damage the brains of the target. While there is leathal versions of this weapion, Field Agents are not alowed to carry them (for risk killing someone important to the future via ansestory). The "Substaned Mode" asumes that she keeps the trigger down till the charge is 'just so', then fiers a more harmful beam. Future-Tech Weapions: Force Blaster (All Modes): This is a 'backup' weapion designed for use against beings with no mind (which makes the first gun useless). It is a last resort weapion, cause it can cause BODY damage. And it knocks the person hit far away. It affects the Physical Defences of the target (well, it is a FORCE Blaster, as in Kinetic Force). It does have one other use...that of a high tech 'handcuff' in the Suround Mode (which envelopes the target in a unmovable Force Field, the special effect of the Entangle). Of course, being an OAF, it is usaly disarmed from her and used against her (to her pleaser...she's wierd like that). Other TED Equipment: This VVP usaly contains a hi-tech medkit, but can be 'swaped out' for other equipment she needs (or is asigned by her superiors). Force Field and Life Suport Belt: Basicly, with this belt, she can shruge off small 'primitive' arms fire. She can adjust it upwards or downwards (to give her, say, more PD protection at the cost of ED), but the GM should asume the limitation "Extra Time" on this. For example, to move one side up/down up to 4 is a zero-phase action. To manipulate it by 5-8 points is a half-phase action. To manipulate it by 9-12 is a full-phase action. To manipulate it 13-16 is a full phase and a segment action (like Haymaker). To manipulate it from 17-20 is a full two phase action (Hapening at 0 DEX of the next phase). This is, of course, doing it directly...if she 4 points at one phase, and another 4 points in another phase, then thay are both zero-phase actions. NOTE: I did not give the belt a limitation based on this. As for the Life Suport stuff (the vareous Safe Enviroments), that only happens when the field is up. It need not even be up 'all the way'. This is helpful when stranded in space (makeing her a human space ship). Comunication Badge (All Modes): The badge alowes comunication between TED Headquarters in the 31st Centery and the agent. Thay also alow the agent to scan for tempral disterbances (with the assistance of a Gazer agent at Headquarters, who's entier job is to scan the time line for disterbances to it and dispatch agents to them). The badge automaticly projects in the agent's eyes a visual effect, while also implanting into the ear an audio effect also. This, she can be Flashed via thoes sences, and it would affect theas powers also. Nanoweave Clothing: A tool invalable to all Field Agents, the clothing is acualy made up of small Nanomachiens which reproduce via converting dirt and dust into itselves. It is built as a "Zero-Point Focus", which means it can, in extream measers, be destroyed, disabled, or taken away (but only for plot points). Being excentric, Paradox uses the Nanoweave as she feals fit, but also uses it for disguises or to blend in also. Flight Ring (All Modes): Basicly it alowes Paradox to ignore gravity in Earth-like or slightly stronger planets. In space, it alowes for full Faster-Than-Light Travel, but only just so. It makes her an emergancy excape pod, if needed. Nanomachien Shifting: This is her prime 'inflitration' power...to change her shape to get into places she could not go as just plane Paradox Timely. It is limited to female shapes, and to humanoid shapes only. Her clothing does not change with her (see Nanoweave Clothing for that). A skilled hacker could force her to change shape. NOTE: She could possable impersnate men, but cosmeticly she would be a woman with no brests or facial hair. Nanomachien Mindshell and Nanomachien DNA-Shell: Both powers protect her mind and body from alterations from another. This is because the Nanomachiens would fix whatever damage would be inflicted as soon as it can. Nanomachien Breathing: The Nanomachiens can extract Oxygen her body needs from any enviroment where Oxygen is present, including water (she can not be sufficated by water). Even choke holds are useless, as the Nanomachiens detect presser on the windpipe, then alter her so that she can extract Oxygen from the skin. Prehaps the only place she could sufficate is in a Vacuum. Nanomachien Eating: As noted above, this power simulates the ability of the Nanomachiens to take her human waist products to create more of themselves. It does NOT stop her from being hungry (and, in fact, prehaps enchances it). Nanomachien Life: The Nanomachiens protect her from dieses, poisons, and the effects of ageing. As a side effect, she rairly feals tiered, and this, needs not a lot of sleep. Subdermal Time Machien: There is a big machien at TED Headquarters where agents get sent back in time with. The Nanomachiens inside her are programed to tap into the energies of this machien to return the target home (even if it is just a second to be sent to another place in time). Because of the machien being able to be 'down for mantance', or be taken control by the Director and forced back, or to another period of time, the power is bought with a rediculy small amount of No Conscious Control (the -1/4 level) to simulate this. Nanomachien Healing (Aid): This power alowes/simulates the Nanomachien's ability to heal her. I used Aid BODY and STUN as opose to Healing because Healing has a maximum, and Aid dose not. The only limitation is "Only Restores To Starting Values" and the END cost. Nanomachien Healing (Regeneration): This power asumes that she is off her feat and takeing rest (and lots of food). Skills: I am asuming that in the future, humans have access to advance knolage and able to aquier it easly. And to make maters better for Paradox, her father is a Scientist, so she has lots of Science skills herself. This is why her EGO and INT are both 30.

  5. Re: Create a Villain Theme Team! Snively Livenstion is Superflat, a thieth who can turn anything flat and 2-dimentional. He uses this power on things the group needs to steal, so thay can be easly rolled up.
  6. Re: Paradox Timely of the TED (6ed, PG-13) I guess it's time for Powers/Tactics. Powers: Paradox Timely has access to advance 31st Centery weapions andd equipment. She normaly carries her two standard ishued weapions for a field agent. The first one is her Nural Blaster, a weapion which fires a strange energy (in the 20th centery...in the 31st it is relativly 'common') which harms but does not destroy the brain. The second weapion is a blaster which shoots a beam of force. There are many little gadgets she normaly carries. One is her Force Field Belt, which protects her from harm. Another is her comunication badge. She is also boltened by tons of nanomachiens, protecting her from poisons and toxins, sufication (the nanomchiens can convert any ingested gas or water to oxygen, and can even extract it from the skin if needed), and even the need for sleep is removed. One of the more 'plesent' side effects is that it reduces her need to remove waist from the body (as the nanomachiens use most of the waist to recreate themselves). Another side effect is that she seems always hungry, and if not doing anything else, she is eating. Tactics: While trained in combat, Paradox hates it, and will only engage in it if there is no other choice. When in combat, she uses range and flight to attack at odd angels.

Nightmarians: Originaly objects turned into monsters. Expendable shock troupers/monsters of the week. Lady Sorrow: Evil magical girl with saddness based powers. Lady Pain: Evil magical girl with pain based powers. Lady Fear: Evil magical girl with fear based powers. Lady Anger: Evil magical girl with anger based powers, and needing anger managment skills.

Personality/Motivation: Paradox seems to be exactly what her name sergests. She is a sereous police officer who likes to have fun. She dispises killing, but doese't mind if you kill. She enjoys being bound, and is a strong flirt, but can get sereous when she needs to. And her yen for romantic partners are a motly list ranging from genders and species. She can be easly distracted, and may even be called flighty. She is only intrested in stoping time related crimes. She loves to stand out in a croud, but knows her job also requiers secrets to be kepted. She is an expert lier (which she does to preserve the future). She seems unmotivated, but she blames herself for the thieth of her father's Time Ship. So she takes it upon herself to bring Dirty Tom Rackham in and recover it.

Orgin/History: My past in complicated, and I have to omit some details which may change the future, so please forgive me in advance. To understand me, you must understand what hapened in my timeline before I was born. Earth will be a part of a galatic Federation. We explored and colonised other soler systems. We meet frendly races and not so frendly races. Well, one race delared war upon the Earth, but sent no solders to fight. When we figured out what happened, it was to late...thay decided to fight us using a engenered virus which left human females steral. Even if we recalled all human female spacers, thay could never begin repopulation. My father just invented a time machien. He was given two tasks...to go back in time to colect willing subjects for repopulation, and to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus. Eventuly, my father met my mothers (yes, I have two of them), and I was born. My father found the way to reverse the virus' effects. And I grew up the first human child born in three years. Now, I was expected to reproduce and expand the human race. And that was my gole when I picked him up from a bar. I was 16 at the time, and before we got bussy, he wanted to see my father's time machien. Silly me...I fell for it hook, line, and grvity stabaliser. What I diden't know at the time was the guy was a space pirate named Tom Rackham. Soon, I found myself bound tightly while he made off with the machien. Well, it was my fault. So as soon as I herd about the TED, I joined. And after some traning, here I am.

I think your right...30 points is excesses (unless using Champions Compleat, which makes it only a reminder complication worth 0 points. And since I don't have that book yet...) NPC's need to follow the maximum complications per catagory rule also? I never liked that rule myself, but then again, I don't have a campain myself...just presenting charaters for use in other campains.

  24. Re: Cool characters from goofy concepts Frizbie was a bit cool, but she never got a chance to realy shine. Mostly because her villian name is copyrighted, and not by DOJ. On my side, Mister Wicked is prehaps one of the most silliest starting concepts (man with a silent movie villian complex). But I realy don't think he came out 'cool', but 'sick'.
