Thunderclub is a big, strong caveman type person carring a huge wooden club. He enjoys combat and is though and super strong. But also, his club is able to manipulate the weather. He can comand winds to make him fly, shoot lighting from the club, lower and raise temptures ib his area, and such. Rumor has it he was once an ancient god worshipped by cro-magnums, and was once much more powerful than he is now. His main gole is to destroy the homosapians who replaced his worshippers, then reserect his cro-magnums somehow. It pains him to work with the people who replaced his people, but he is slowly getting use to them.

Eventually he will accept homosapian worshippers into his "tribe". As long as they let him do as he wishes.

The Revengers' frequent hanger-on is none other than the infamous Lee Stansky, aka Excelsior.  No, he doesn't have any superpowers, and no, he doesn't appreciably contribute to any scheme the Revengers may be pulling off.  But he's sure to make a "guest appearance" somewhere along the way - dressed as a mailman, security guard, astronaut, or anybody in between, and making some amusing comment.

    The Miscreation

One of the more craftier of the Monster's Brood is The Miscreation. Like it's parent, it has grey skin and shagy and dirty black hair, claws, and wears thick leathers (in his case, dark reds and purples). He is smaller than The Monster, and not as strong as him. His unique power is to secreat vile acid from his mouth and hands. While slow acting, it is sticky and can only be removed by holy water. It gets it's name by turning people and animals into a acidic, pulpy mess void of life. He enjoys watching living beings slowly disolve to death.

    New group: The Monster's Brood
    Numbers: 4-6
The Monster has somehow spawned a few more mysterious humanoid beings, each with there own powers (most like there parent, but with a few unique twists), and all with names which reflect there only parent (in other words, other names for generic monsters). They love scaring humans, and prehaps killing and eating them. They, like there parent, only comunicate through grunts, snarls, and hideous laughter which frightens people in there very soul.

Actor Mark Wonder posed as a supervillain Mol-Jar when the Revengers hiered him as a false mastermind and distraction for any hero against him. He was equipped with armor designed to absorb energy. Then some heroes got the idea of hitting him with two different energy wavelengths at the same time. Not only did it overload the armor system, it converted his body to pure energy. Everyone thought he was killed. A few months later, Mark Wonder reformed himself, now a creature of pure energy. Convinced that the superheroes were responsible and that he can never become a solid, flesh and blood being ever again, he swore revenge upon them, taking his idenity of Mol-Jar seriously.

Phantasim is an artificial being able to be either intangible or as hard as a diamond. It was built originally by an artificial intelligence to help mankind, but it turned from it's purposes, instead deciding to conquer humanity is the best choice for it's destiny. And the Revengers the best, logical choice by his side.

Rudy Lee Ray was a night club owner, pimp and stand-up comedian whose buck wild material attacked The Man and riled up his crowds. This put a target on him and one night he was gunned down by the police. Near death he crawled into a toy store and using a spell taught to him by one of his ladies transferred his soul into a Lil' Bro action toy. Now all the suckas will have to pay to the illest little motha you ever seen, who is crackin skulls with kung fu and bustin caps too. Here comes...DOLL-O-MITE!!

Reminds me of the Incredible Two-Headded Transplant myself, the story of a bigot transplanted to a black man's body. Rosy Gear is the body and original head, Ray Millon is the rich bigot and other head.

Most of these are Universal throw backs. Let's get one which is from the 70's.

Doctor Anton Vincent Davis Junior was a doctor of religion and sound, and dabbles in mechanical music making dolls. He loved his wife Victoria very much. The problem (at least to The Man's eyes)? Well, he is black, she is white, and neither of them are American, which ment they were excluded from the whole "whites can't marry the dark skin folk" laws of the time. When Victoria fell ill one day, The Man ordered his top surgeons to come in, to operate upon her, and to make sure she died on the operation table. Pissed off, Aton became The Abominable Dr. Davis Junior. After a failed assassination attempt scared his face and forced him to replace his voice box with a boom box, Blackula invited him into the group, seeing a need for a human monster in the group.

In case you don't get it, he is a cross with Vincent Price's The Abominable Doctor Phibes and black jewish entertainer Sammy Davis Junior. Imagine Sammy doing a Vincent Price impression in monotone. "Nine killed ya baby. Nine shall pay. Each tap brings me closer to there doom."

The Creature from the White Lake

This throwback to alternative creation is a water based humanoid that famed African American professor Dr William 'Hey Baby !' Marks found in the lakes of downtown Canada. He tried bringing it back to New York but it escaped from the theatre where it was being exhibited. Supposedly it scaled a building and was subsequently killed but that is what Blacula has caused people to believe. Now he serves as the water based member of the group in rivers, seas and even sewers.

Steve Erkette is looking for a cure like Larry Hilton-Talbot. He thought he had a means to teleport worked out, but when he tried it out, it mixed his molecules with a spider. Now he commands his dog-sized offspring to eat any enemies as he tries to get his equipment back from the people the landlord sold it to thinking he was dead.

    Wolfman of Watts

Lawrence Hilton-Talbot was caught up in the Watts riots and was running from the police and ended up hiding in an abandoned building. As he wandered deeper into the building he was stalked and attacked by what he thought was a guard dog and was left for dead. He survived and soon discovered on the next full moon that he was actually attacked by a werewolf and was now cursed to be one himself. He began a killing spree targeting police and other authority figures which brought him to the attention of Blacula. He wants to find a cure for his curse, but part of him does enjoy having the power to fight back against the establishment.

Damion Alexander Wanger the 4th was a normal rich boy, a heir to a religious products empire. At the age of thirteen, he started to slowly mutate, developing a six finger on each hand, leathery wings, red skin, horns and a ling tail with a stinger. Rescued from being killed by his religious family for having 'wrong powers from the wrong source' (they believe all mutants are angles, except for vary ugly mutants), he becomes Abandon.

    New Team
The Monsterous Society of Black Monsters.

Brought together by Prince Mhawallie (Blackula) and Blackenstine, these seven monsters plan to stick it to the Man in a world permantly stuck in the '70s. Can you dig it?

    No Zombies.
    No Voodoo.
Black copies of "White" monsters welcomed (like, say, Black Jason).
    Remember to make it Blackportation.

Well, that was ForgetMeNot. The original X-Man nobody actually remembers.

Yes, they retconned him into being a member from the very beginning of the group. Seemed Professor X was originally the only one to remember him, and even he had to make psychic notes on him every hour before the memory of him faded from his mind.

Humm...question: is being addicted a physical effect or a mental effect of the pheromones? If it is a mental effect, then it should be "based on OMCV" and go against EGO ("this smell is so pleasing to me...I want to smell it again"). If not, then not ("i must smell it again or I get them shakes doctor. Where can I find that smell? Where?!").

A teenage mutant and Star Wars fanatic, Johnny Man-Doran created his own version of Mandorian armor to become, wait for it, Bubba Fatt. He believes he has made the perfect, fully functioning Mandorian armor, including one fiering missile on his back.

Ok, he did had to compensate to avoid being sued by Lucisfilms/Disney. And he is more of a legally grey character, not really hero or villain than a powered guy for hire. But, well, he means well-ish.

Ok. Mysterio does a complicated series of holograms and backing sounds, heat flairs, and smell pods to create his illusions? How is that different than Kraven the Hunter spraying your face with a hallucinogenic drug? Or being in the vicinity of The Purple Man? So mental powers vs CON are ok, but mental powers vs INT not ok? Or physical powers vs EGO, like mental paralysis? Why is one ok and the other not? Why do we have the powers Mental Illusions and Mind Control and not Drugged Illusions and Drugged Surgestions? Why? Because it all boils down to Special Effects. Kraven's hallucinogenic drug is Mental Illusions with the appropriate limitations. Same with The Purple Man's commands (except for Mind Control vs CON).

So, why is Mystero's illusions different enough that we have to go the Images rout? Sure, everyone can perceive them. So what.

One of the APG has a great thing about "Based on Characteristics". It is a good thing to look over.

Should Images be kicked to the side? Honestly I don't know. But I will have a hard time convincing you that Images = Illusions, and you will have a tough time convincing me that Images, in there purest function <> Illusions.

Bullet is a good old southern gal who can create a blasting field which propells her through the air like a bullet. She is one of the more recent members of The Geen Twisted, a group of pro-mutant bigot criminals/terrorist and was personally scouted out by the group's savage tracker Savage.

Brain Tyrant was once Profesor Charlene Alphan. One of the most gifted psionics on Earth, she scouted out the original members of The Geen Twisted and brought them together under her rule. An argument with Savage caused her to loose her arms, but she does not miss them, as telekinesis, telepathy, illusion casting, and mind control are only the tip of the powers she posseses. There are a few other mentalist mutants in the group who can come close to rivaling her, and a few can overpower her in one catagory of mental powers or another, but nobody can come close to her in shear number of mental abilities she possesses.

Debbie Scarlett is Psi-co. One of the original members of the team, she was Brain Tyrant's beloved student and lover till a falling out on one mission lead to her apparent drowning in Jamaica Bay, New York. She eventually emerged from her plight with increased mental abilities, including brand new psychokenetic, cryrokenetic, and electrokenetic abilities. For a while, she stalked each member out for revenge, but after seeing Brain Tyrant and Savage again, rejoined the team.
