Really? If the guy running the company tells you "This is what you have to have compliance with in order for your text to pass the bar for publication," how is that not definitive? 

There is a way to do it. 

Go to the Champions adventure "Pretty Hate Machines." I wrote this. I know it's selfish, but pick it up and look at the "Plain Jane" character. That is exactly what you want, only this is more than a minor ability.

And the Complete books are the current state of the rules, as I believe Jason has stated on one occasion on the forums. To me, that makes them "real books". I still cling to my two volumes of 6e.

 

In my view, however, the Rules Question Board should be accessible to someone who bought Hero for the first time at his FLGS and has a question. That's not the current state of the rules board. When a MHI buyer posts a question and is referred to books he did not buy, and which he is not supposed to require to play the game, I think that's a problem.

I agree with Hugh here, and since he and I don't agree on a lot, that should tell you something. Champions Complete is the latest version of the rules. This is what I was told by Jason, what I write for in order to be published, and that's the end of the matter.

We've got some good news today. Three more pictures came in, leaving us with 8 unfinished and 14 days to go. We might not get them ALL in before the KS finishes, but we're darned sure that everything will be there by our scheduled release date at this point.

I would argue that the player doesn't need that many points to wear a rubber suit.
