  1. I'm expecting a strongly-worded letter to their supplier that it was supposed to be "Deck the Halls".
  2. As much as I like the original, it works amazingly well as a duet.
  3. My current dentist uses a CERAC machine, which fabricates the permanent crown from ceramic material while you are still in the chair. The fit is very good, as they build the crown using digital scans of your tooth. I think the price is slightly higher than a traditional crown, but it's great to not need a temporary while you wait, and the color matching is excellent.
  4. Growing up, Mom would refuse to make it (she hated it with a passion), and so I was probably in my 30s before I tasted green bean casserole. I don't need to taste it again.
  5. Looks to be from the 2004 series. The tail has a bit of a sweep, engines are less round, and the canopy has a different shape than the 1978 version.
  6. The Dark Side of the Moon (Atmos mix, from the 50th anniversary Blu-ray), by Pink Floyd. I balked at the price of the Deluxe 50th Anniversary box set when it came out earlier this year, as it would have been a very expensive purchase just to get the new Dolby Atmos mix. The album was recently released as a single Blu-ray audio disc, $25 at Amazon, which arrived tonight. And while the Atmos mix is very good, I don't really think that it's my favorite mix*. The positional audio is well-done, but some of the emotional impact feels blunted, lost in the format, perhaps. *The Alan Parsons quad mix and the standard stereo mix from the 2011 Immersion Box Set get the most plays.
  7. It would explain much of the Empire's strategies.
  8. Hguanret the Cranky, Hoarder of Chocolates and XBox controllers.
  9. My first thought was, "Hey, I've got that Propellerheads album!"
  10. "Rainmaker" from the Kansas album, In The Spirit of Things, released 35 years ago on October 25, 1988. My friends and I were shopping for new release CDs at the Wherehouse Records across the street from the university, and I picked up this disc. It quickly became a favorite of mine. Meanwhile, the folks at MCA Records/Universal Music Group were trying to make the company look good for a possible sale. Their management decided that acts like Tiffany were the future, and that older acts wouldn't be worth promoting. They cut a bunch of acts, including Kansas. And that's why, about 4 weeks later, the album was relegated to the bargain bin.
  11. And Jenna Ellis makes four: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/jenna-ellis-former-trump-lawyer-pleads-guilty-georgia-election-interfe-rcna121886
  12. For some unknown reason, this song was bouncing around my head as I woke up today.
