  1. Except for eventual powder deposit and deposits on the front part of the cylinder there shouldn't be any problem if you switch the three different rounds in that chamber you can also do three or four different rounds in the 327 Federal chamber that are shorter and less powerful. The biggest problem would be user expectations, different recoil levels and such. The revolvers don't rely on the cartridge for operation, so that is one small ad vantage they have. Except maybe the oddball webley autorevolver, iirc the webley fosbury or some such.
  2. Do you get "The Firearm Blog" too?
  3. THere is a regional gunsmith who builds those, iirc. I think it belongs on someone else's shoulder! Though one in .375 H&H or an equivalent...
  4. my dad fairly recently got a Ruger LCR in 9mm. He has a pretty thorough collection of LCRs, and that may be his least favorite. practical, but he likes his .38 better, and looks forward to trying out the .327 Federal.
  5. First, those are called "moon Clips". THere are also half moon and 2 rd versions, iirc. Depends on how the chambers are cut. If they are cut right, you could individually load the rounds, and they would headspace on the case mouth. Reliability could suffer, as if the cases are a little too narrow, the case could move forward in the chamber and the Primer might not detonate when struck by the firing pin. My dad has an old Enfield .45 designed to use either the moon clips with .45 ACP or the special case called the .45 Auto RIm, which is the .45 ACP with a thicker than normal rim to give the same headspace control and distance to the primer as the moon clips.
  6. I won't. I try to keep my blood pressure under control, and certain kinds of people make that problematic.
  7. But there is no such thing as bias against white males...
  8. yeah, the Spokane Suicide by Cop did not help any...
  9. Scorpions, though now that you mention it, maybe we should ask the bunneh...
  10. It was employer sponsored. I am still not sure how they cancelled it in mid month, trying to find out...
  11. THere is a reason there is dislike for "Bureaucrats" . I think I got it straightened out, have to select a plan tonight or tomorrow to get a 5/1 eff. date.
  12. I have heard they are tasty...
  13. so nerf it, and make it more politically correct.
  14. just as well I can't eat it. I have NO interest in baseball. This brings me close to disgust.
  15. I have come to the conclusion that the real goal may be to save healthcare money by using frustration to drive us to suicide... Either that or bankrupt us so we end up on full government assistance,
  16. Republicans in the Senate make it pretty certain he could not get a Gun ban passed.
  17. This election cycle has me questioning my faith in my countrymen. I thought Romney was such a lousy candidate that for the second time in my life, I voted for a Non Republican for President. The first time got me Clinton. Despite the rantings of the Right wing, Obama has not been all that bad, at least he has not managed to get a new gun ban passed... Every election I think "They have to come up with better candidates next time!" But at least on the Republican side, they seem to get worse... I personally distrust Hillary. I do not trust her as far as I could throw her. But I do not trust Trump as far as I could throw the Entire Republican field from the early part of this campaign. I weep for the future.
  18. So, to make today just plain wonderful... Training for the new job role. SHould be simpler than what I have been doing, but MUCH faster time expectations, and the client is apparently and absolute ^&*^() about details in QA evaluations. Turns out that rather than our insurance being in effect till the end of the month, it was cancelled on the 17th... I am pretty sure we had paid our portion through the end of the month, given how insurance billing works... -THis means we will almost certainly be getting a bill for several hundred dollars for the medications we filled last week. No copays, don't ya know... When I went to finalise insurance for us to replace it (figuring we can survive the two weeks without, it is almost over) I realized that I can't make an informed choice as to which plan to select without knowing what the premiums will be and what the copays and deductibles will be, due to Advanced pretax credit and Cost share reduction. In order to find out what those will be, I needed to update my wife's income information for unemployment, it is higher than I estimated, as at the time we had not received notification... The higher value will mean lower APTC and CSR, so Higher premiums, copays, and deductibles. So I updated it. THis moved the effective date out to JUNE 1 talk about a catch 22. If I didn't update it, the cost and benefits would worsen when I did. So by updating it I screwed myself out of a month's coverage. WA state Healthcarefinder.org only has customer support available until 6:00 PM!!!!!! Great, so now I get to go a month without insurance. Assuming I don't get hacked again, I should be able to afford paying out of pocket for the absolutely necessary medications I am on... DAMNIT! I know my parents did not make my middle name JOB.... I did a fast walk of a mile, up and down my driveway a couple times. Now I am not quite as tempted to drive my fist through a wall, or something even less practical and appropriate...
  19. A friend in It suggested Vipre, think MwB. Would be a good addition?
