Re: Jack-Jack Parr
You guys catch him using his danger sense? I didn't pick up on it until I read the NSA file.Hmm. I think there was something with the first omnidroid as well.

Whatever! Flame on!Actually I think your avatar fits perfectly with the theme.

Re: The Trophy Room
Thanks, it came from the picture below.Eventually I got to like the idea of a comic-relief sidekick trying to cary on the fight after the real heores vanish. Makes for a different sort of legacy character.
Hmm, I swear Superman was just flying around picking up trash and giving it to Jimmy at that point...

Re: Can I get a list please?
You know, this post brings something up. How about a "Hot Topics" thread that could be stickied to the top of the forum. It would be like a FAQ thread of topics that are always coming up in the forums and that many people have very heated opinions on.For example one of the topics that could be touched upon is the Damage shield debate and we could get a knowledgable person from each side to state his opinion.
As new "Hot Topics" come up or opinions about previous ones change the thread could be edited as needed.
Yea. But that's semi subjective and would put additional work on people who really could be doing something more productive.

Cool. Now all we have to do is trap him there.

RebeccaRed50, what's up regarding your honor being besmirched?I'm off the boards the rest of the work-day, though, sorry.
I believe fbdaury said that she wore skirts, or something like that.

Re: What Fantasy/Sci-Fi book have you just finished? Please rate it...
I have just started "Flag In Exile" an Honor Harrington novel by David Webber. So far it is up to par. I may post a comment on it when I finish it .The Harrington books are pretty good. I think they drag on a bit with a little too much angst, but they pickup again with the last couple.

Re: The Last Word
Why does sour cream have a use-by/best-before date? The egg hatch if you wait too long and they need to be injested by then by the host.

Re: Idea: Sidekick Deluxe
Well' date=' personally I really like the green on black 5ed. cover. It is simple, elegant, and stands out amongst all the flashy, multi-color superhero type covers in my local gaming store. Kinda makes you say, "What's [i']that[/i]?" Heh.Yep. It stands out because it's different. I think if it was sitting next to a bunch of Traveller books, there may be a problem.

Re: The Trophy Room
I was thinking recently of a gadgeteer who started as a Kid Sidekick to a Super Team. Every time they defeated a gadget using bad guy, the gadget would go into the trophy room. Now, the team has vanished. While they're gone, the Kid Sidekick is trying to keep order by using the trophy room gadgets. Mechanically it's a simple build: He pays for the base and the vehicles normally, and the gadgets are a VPP, may only change in the trophy room, slightly limited choice of gadgets.Thinking more about that, and about something Hugh mentioned, would you make your characters pay any points for the gear they take off of villains and store in the trophy room? Would they pay for that gear at 1/5, like other gear in a base? 1/5 plus limits as they will very rarely use it? Less? More?
My own version of a similar concept:

Re: Can I get a list please?
Hmmm...maybe the board software can scan posts for such things and include appropriate "magnifying glass" and "Stop" icons by the threads to warn folks.Maybe instead of Rate this thread we could vote for those icons.

Re: What was you most powerful Attack vs. Supervillian???
I know. I'm afraid our group would break some of these characters by sneezing hard.Thankfully most of them are immune to diseases and allergy.

I get the feeling Champsguy & I should go off to a different thread.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
Today we had to euthanize Griffy. He came into the shelter six months ago, FeLV+ and a bad case of upper respiratory. He stabilized, but had frequent fevers and a couple more bouts of upper repiratory.
Couple weeks ago, we couldn't get his fever to stay down, but he was still being active. He loved being held and playing with the other cats in the FeLV room. Last week he started getting more listless and a couple days ago he started losing the color in his pads and gums. That generally means the end is near. He stopped eating and while would show interest didn't have any energy. Today we took him to the vet for his crossing.
He'll be missed.

Re: HERO Hall of Fame?
But' date=' Blue, dont you have like 2 or 3 that REALLY stood out, that you were extra proud of, or about whom you have a funny story?[/quote']I'm not Blue, but I have one take on this. I like most of my characters that I've played for multiple sessions. Kind of like choosing between your children perhaps. Different reasons to like each.

Re: House Rules?
Some of us have House Rules that are really old Edition rules. -1/3" for instance.

Re: In Real World Terms...
Ah' date=' then he is a pretty specialized brick. Well, if you severely limit brick tricks and additional defenses (or give some limitations), it can be done.[/quote']Scales was a character written up in 83 or 84. He was strong and tough (with several specialized defenses). What more did you need?

See if you had as much cat hair lodged in your keyboard, there would be a safety net stopping such a shock. I just shook mine and got a few crumbs from chips and a cat nail sheaf.
