Re: Longest Running Thread EVER
Didn't you see my post on A Thread the Random MusingsDidn't you see my reply?
But thank you again, that was cool.
I'm really putting a lot into hoping for these two jobs. More so for Jenn. The job, Sanctuary Tour Guide, as described would be perfect for her.
The IT jobs they have are more MS oriented than I like and while I have a great track record of doing well in the deep end, I'm more afraid of me being a little too open source advocate for them.
I might wind up with a job cleaning animal enclosures, which would be ok.

I just don't want to lose my parents' date=' and they're holding that against me.[/quote']And if you continue along like this, you'll lose them anyway. You need some distance from them.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
EDIT: Lemming beat me to it.Yea, but you put some nice purty words in there too.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
If I can get his attention. He seems sort of fixated on this cute' date=' busty girl with an "XP" hairclip...[/quote']Oh dear. That won't go well for Open Source.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
You need to do what feels right. One of the best things I ever did was learn to live my life for me and not someone else. You shouldn't let your parents interfere with your happiness.Every so often, Mightybec says something wise without any wierd stuff. though I'm checking it out in the crime lab

Re: Musings on Random Musings
Well that was surreal.Or...since I've been having "lesser" fevers come and go all day...am I still hallucinating?
Just ask the penguin on the merry go round?

I forget' date=' what does Lemming blame me for again?[/quote']Oh. Old election debris. Since you've changed your sig, I can change mine.

Re: "So, Thor hits Superman with Mjolnir..."
Heh' date=' sorry about that I was referencing The Golden Age, an elseworlds graphic novel. (Very underrated in my opinion.) One of the clever things done is the handling of Jimmy Olsen. When you look back on pre-crisis history, Jimmy Olsen had more super-personas than anyone. His genetic structure must be the stuff of silly putty. Elastic Lad, Turtle Boy, werewolf, various monstrous forms...in champions he would be ridiculously expenseHe winds up being the villian in "The Nail" as well.

Re: "So, Thor hits Superman with Mjolnir..."
Just something I was wondering... but what's to stop Supes from catching Mjolnir on the fly in' date=' say, the same manner the Flash used to catch bullets? He's fast enough to do so, he's strong enough to do so, and as pointed out he's noble enough to do so.[/quote']Depends on the GM...

Re: "Ya better talk Oculon, or you'll get the spike!" (A Super law question)
Ideally, I'd have the person come back to life in the morgue--maybe in the freezer. If she went through the entire "dead and buried" scenario, it also means that she's gone through all the prep-work a body goes through before being buried...like getting her blood replaced with embalming fluid. In a few cases, the prison might just cremate the body. That could prove a mite inconvenient.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
So I'm working on setting up an apache server for a friend and doing a few things I'm not intimately familiar with. I happen to notice that I have an Apache book by O'Reiley and think "Hey, that might help"
Hmm, probably not, it's the 1997 edition.
I think I need to cull some of my old computer books.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
I wonder if all discipline for the Random Musings thread has broken down?Hope not. I like the rule because it makes it more an eye of the storm type thread. Or perhaps more like a butterfly in a microwave causing a storm in someone's fridge.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
sorry' date=' didn't mean to wake you up, but what's a best-friend for if not to share happiness with. And I'll probably start sometime next month, which is ok, 'ccause then I can give two-weeks to The Discovery Channel.[/quote']Congrats! I'll spare some good vibes for your search since it's better to spread vibes than keep them all to myself & wife.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER
Man they work quick. What power I have, what responsibility I must now consider. *sigh* What if I misused them, would I dare?(Hey boss, now can I get that raise you promised?!)
Send some vibes over to my wife and I for our job hunts.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
My wife got an email that sounded encouraging in a vague way about being interviewed for the job she wants. Wish her luck.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER
Did I?Shoot. There goes the mystery, darn it!
I'm really very ill right now, and not thinking clearly. Apologies.
For the past 6 hours I've had a fever that won't break, no matter how hot I get...the stupid apartment heat keeps switching off at 100 degrees, and I'm still freezing at that point even under several layers of clothing/blankets. It's at least 3 hours before I can call a friend or relative to help, 6 hours until I can call a doctor.
Any "good vibes" that can be sent my way would be VERY much appreciated.
Damn. Good vibes on the way. And heck, you don't even need a fever to forget you posted something over a year ago. Get well soon.

Re: Longest Running Thread EVER
Further freaky co-incidence: there's something about October 11 that's a clue about who my Playmate cousin is...but it's not what you'd think. You know you listed this before on January 6, 2004. October 1987 playmate.

Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat
... and now, here to give us her own special rendition of Trent Reznor's timeless classic "Closer"... ladies and gentlemen... Celine Dione!!!NT: Truth in Advertising.
This SUV won't make your penis larger.
Look for Richard Cheese's version of Closer

Re: "So, Thor hits Superman with Mjolnir..."
And the other gentlemen in that queue?Of that list, I'd let Superman, Captain Marvel, & Martian Manhunter to lift it. Wonderman, though I liked the character has either been too unsure of self or arrogant prick. Hulk doesn't fit the worthy parameter either since he's more built on rage. I'm not sure who the guy on the end was. (Though I'll be sure to go "Doh!" when someone names him)

Re: Musings on Random Musings
Get your mind out of the gutter, OWoSS.I am not an ASCII artist, those were my attempt at swords. (If I could have, I'd have pointed the thing at the top of his head, a la the sword of Damocles, but no such luck).
I feel enlightened now!

Re: "So, Thor hits Superman with Mjolnir..."
Yeah' date=' a stupid, sad joke created by someone who fixed the deck so his own favorite character won. The qualification was never "warrior". Ever. In any published source. Its always been "nobility". And nobility is something Superman has in spades, even more so than Thor.[/quote']Me thinks someone favors Superman over Thor.

Re: "So, Thor hits Superman with Mjolnir..."
"I say thee nay!" Where do you get that? I thought that went way back. I'm going back through some stuff now for examples, 'less someone else beats me to it...Cat
Definitly before 1996 since I knew of the magic problem and I stopped collecting in 1993. I'm thinking 60s or 70s. Of course, Log may of meant to type a different number than '96.

Always fun when the live server doesn't behave even though the test server behaved perfectly.
