  1. Thanks so much, Hyper-Man! I guess I missed that!
  2. Hello all, I'm embarrassed to ask this, but I could not find it in the 6th edition of Champions. In a darkness field, flash attack, or against an invisible foe, what are the penalties (if any) to OCV and DCV? I checked the book thoroughly (maybe not enough?) and could not find how not being able to perceive the attacker/defender modifies combat. Again... I know this is probably a very easy question, but I would appreciate any help. Thanks much! Ted
  3. Thanks for the information, Cassandra. I'll search for those threads.
  4. Well, I really hadn't given that much thought, to be honest. I thought perhaps 100-150, depending on their "rank". Any suggestions?
  5. Thanks to both of you, Bubba and Vondy, for the clarification.
  6. Thanks for your input, Vondy. Yes, I had forgotten about the VIPER and UNTIL sourcebooks. I'll have to see if I can find my old copies. When you say "Package", or "Gear", what do you mean? Is there somewhere in a book that describes these? Your help is appreciated.
  7. Hello all, In preparation for my upcoming campaign (Sixth Edition), I wanted to have some agents on hand in case I need them to make the battles more interesting/balanced. I'm curious if there is any template available where I might find the basics for an agent and then modify as I see fit? Thanks much! Ted
  8. Very cool, Rebar! Something definitely to consider.
  9. Cassandra! I really like the idea of "Year of Trial" and Calendar (as the mega-villain person). Thank you! I even like his motivation/plan. I'll incorporate it! Any idea of Calendar's powersets?
  10. Speaking of bands and music and wings: is "bird" still the word?
  11. Could it also be right versus left?
  12. If you're in a bind that seems impenetrable, just wait for a megalomaniac supervillian to come around and give a 20-minute monologue on how awesome he is and that should buy you enough time to get out of your sticky mess.
  13. I really like Earth's Preservation Alliance also. Maybe to get away from the EPA acronym (and to show that they're well-received and welcoming of other like-minded individuals): Earth's Preservation Community (EPC)...pronounced "epic".
  14. Thanks for the idea, Armitage. I remember liking Shrinky-Dinks when I was a kid, so that may be excuse enough!
  15. Thanks for the resources, Liaden!
  16. Lucius, I'm in California...a bit of a commute from you.
  17. Thanks for the links, BlueCloud!
  18. Wow, Lucius! How do I go about being a player in one of your campaigns?! Love the thought you've put into this...thank you!
  19. Hmm, I like this idea, Nothere. I could have it so that the villains really are clueless that they are part of a larger scheme...and perhaps are in the "wrong place at the wrong time"? (Not sure if that was what your idea was). I'd have no problem with this, Bubba. However, the players have already created their characters and none appear to have zodiac-themed powersets. That being said, there may not be a reason that one of them isn't the "personage" of a certain sign, and thereby drawn into the scheme (mentioned above)? Thank you both for contributing!
  20. Hello all, So I settled on having my campaign be zodiac-based. I thought I would have each week having the heroes face a different foe, one whom is represented by a different astrological sign. The problem is...I'd like to have the 12th (13th?) mission/episode/issue be a culminating mission. I'd like all the stories be tied together somehow. This is where I'm stuck. I thought about a crown or such that has 12 stones and that a MAJOR mega-villain wants for world domination (very cliche', etc.) But blah...been there, done that. I'm coming to you good folks seeking ideas/brainstorming. Also, should you wish to contribute ideas for the enemies themselves, I wouldn't be opposed to that. I've already worked on Aries as being a shield-wielding foe (the shield would have a ram emblazoned on it, and he would use the shield quite forcefully. ) Taurus will most likely be a minotaur, etc. But again...I'm not married to the ideas and open for creative alternatives. Thanks for any input...it's greatly appreciated. Ted
  21. Thanks for answering, GhostDancer. Yes, I would reckon it depends on where the characters are.
  22. Hello all, So I'm contemplating what scale I'll use for my games. I know the 6th ed. suggests 1" = 2 m, but I'm wondering if I don't want to try: 1" = 1 m for simplicity's sake? Also, if I draw the map, and a doorway is one hex wide, that would make sense... as most doorways are not about 6' wide. Just thought I'd ask you what you use for your campaigns (if any)? Thanks much and have a wonderful Wednesday! Ted
  23. Excellent resources, BlueCloud2k2...thanks for them. And EXCELLENT idea about gluing them to 1" washers. I'm guessing something like epoxy or SuperGlue would work? Edit: hahah...re-read to see you said "super-glue"...ugh...time for bed! Thanks again!
  24. Funny you should mention eBay, ghornet. I found a lot that looks like a fairly good deal...now to decide if I want to foot out that money for HeroClix. (I'm guessing/hoping they fit okay within the hexes of a hex map)?
