  1. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Excel Hero. Fun as an anime, but it would not work as a Hero System Game.
  2. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Pun Hero, where the Pun is mightier than the sword. Soap Opera Hero companion 2: It was all a dream. Doctoer Destroyer wasn't shot after-all. But, Ironclad has something he must tell Defender: IC: Defender, your daughter has made my son pregnant. (pan out to a wide veiw of Millenium City) D (VO): HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!?!?!?!?!!!! (echo)
  3. Re: Queer heroes Actually, when it comes to gay and lesbian superheroes, here's really all that needs to be considerred, in my veiw: (keep in mind that I am heterosexual and that I might not have all the facts straight (no pun intended). This is pretty much all stuff I learned from friends who are gay/lesbian/bisexual. (And I have quite a few online)) What makes a homosexual person different from a heterosexual person? Not much. The only real difference is that they are attracted to the same sex, instead of the opposite. So, you can really just create normal characters and make their romantic-intrest DNPCs the same gender as they are. That's all there is to it. Of course, that's just what I think.
  4. Re: Queer heroes And as for one thing that should go without saying: make sure you have a mature gaming group. This is actually hard to do at a Con, and most gamers I know are actually far from mature. Maybe this would be a better idea with a group that you know can handle that kind of content in your game.
  5. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Fortunately, D20 has options for experience other than just loot and kill. Skill rolls, dealing with people without combat, there are options that exist. Though I will admit, it's still behind the curve.
  6. Re: Funny Hero Thread I had an idea for a character in a teen champions game. Bombshell Her power was the ability to create energy feilds that explode. Well, that, and she's a real good looker. [insert wolf whistle here] She was raised in the military as an "army brat" and, well, during her childhood, she had plenty to do (as well as learning how to outwit the ultimate hall monitors: The Military Police), and now she's back in America and her parents retired from military service, she's got all this pent-up-energy that she expends by being a school troublemaker.
  7. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Fast Food Delivery Hero (kinda like "Ninja Burger.") Paranoia supplement for Star Hero
  8. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) That's a supplement for porn Hero Yeah. Very true.
  9. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Hero Wing (All your 100 point base are belong to us.) Engrish Hero (where Batman is really Spiderman, who strokes all criminal activities and criminals)
  10. Re: "Sleeper" Genres Maybe the use of HERO for an MMO system... Champions Online?
  11. Re: When Bad Translators Attack! And in that language's version of Spiderman, maybe Spiderman becomes Batman after being bitten by a radioactive spider. And has to deal with "Fantasy Science Nerd Guy"... Okay. That second part wasn't so good...
  12. Re: The Funny Villains In Fourth Edition, I always liked "The Fox of Crime." He was one of those charming types who loved to make the heroes look like inept fools. Though admittedly, he does seem a bit better off as the mastermind behind GRAB (Judging by the implication of his existance in CKC,)
  13. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Good thing they did.
  14. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Shaggy-Dog-Story Hero (build up all this interest, only to have a disappointing elding) Spoonerism Hero (a whole bunch of tasted worms, er, wasted terms)
  15. Re: CU question: See through super material? Me neither.
  16. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Gross-out comedy Hero. (like "Larry the Cable Guy")
  17. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Neat lesson. How do you rep?
  18. Re: When Bad Translators Attack! That's probably the worst we should do. That line just begs for soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many raunchy jokes.
  19. Re: When Bad Translators Attack! Blue humor, anyone?
  20. Re: Champions Universe Movie Casting Call We might want to keep Halle Barry (SP??) out of this one. As Storm, she was okay, but Catwoman deserved the Rasberry award. Though, granted, it's not because of her specifically. Just the suckitude of ALL involved.
  21. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Anime Trivia Hero Current Events Hero (With illustrations by an unnamed Danish cartoonist, and additional combat rules checked by Dick Cheney) Flower Hero (do you belong the the Rose tribe or the Lilly tribe?)
  22. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Actually, the real meaning of "Yuri" is lilly. The term Yuri gained its lesbian meaning thanks to a writer who used the rose to symbolise male homosexuality and a lilly to symbolize lesbianism. The reason Yaoi is used for the men with a sexual emphasis is that it comes from an acronym of "yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi, meaning "no climax, no punch line, no meaning." (Wikipedia) Below are a few links to fully explain it all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaoi for Yaoi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuri_%28animation%29 For Yuri and Shoujo-Ai http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shounen-ai for Shounen-ai
  23. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) I must have missed it. However, White Wolf did pop out Wraith: The Oblivion which has players managing their own characters and the shadow of another character.
