As someone who had a somewhat passing resemblance, a lot. It was almost mandatory for High School romance.

Never played a con game that didn't use pre-gens. Also never played a Hero System con-game, but I was able to answer the questions in general. As mechanically dense as Hero can be, well, as many RPGs can be, I would generally recommend bringing Pre-Gens if you are planning to run a game. (Especially with as broken as some Hero builds can be.) By using Pre-Gens, you can create stronger links to the challenges the PCs will face and ensure that the characters work well as a group. Whether they do or not, is still up to the players of course. As someone who runs games for an indie game, Pre-Gens help me, it lowers the entry bar for new players, and because I know the characters I can help players jump into the action quickly, answering any questions along the way. Hero System being not that one game, the same logic probably still applies.

That's a rather tender subject. He was a great musician, with a unique story to tell.

While I can't speak to the internet hive mind, there are a lot of curved blades I really like. The khopesh is my current obsession as I wonder if it can be scaled up in size thanks to modern materials. Also, I dig the falcata and twin hooks, although the later may require a level of coordination I don't have. With that said, the bat'leth has always struck me as a rather silly weapon, for a lot of the reasons the video goes into. While I don't know how I feel about Shad's version of it, outlined in the video, watching Trek, it always struck me as being awkward to use. While it doesn't say it, the video illustrates how it is over-engineered, reducing it's potential effectiveness. - - -
