Not for me. I was cringing so hard I feared I'd sprain something. I did enjoy the finale though, particularly Kate and Yelena's scenes together.

I remember reading studies suggesting that mixing vaccines gives you superior protection, because they stimulate your immune system from different routes.
The one I read didn't show much if any improvement compared to people who had the Modern vaccination and boosters, but it seems to be the gold standard so far (I'd expect nothing less of the Dolly Parton-sponsered option). Everything else seems to benefit from diversifying, albeit at the risk of more intense side effects.

I don't like "The Little Drummer Boy," and play a game with friends each year to see who can avoid hearing it until Christmas.
This year I got Little Drummer Boyed by the muzak at a Chinese buffet.

Was Delta prevalent in South Africa, or were those 300 cases/day primarily indicative of the infectiousness of the other variants?

South Africa's Health Minister declares that current vaccines appear to be effective against the Omicron variant:

I don't have a cast iron pan any more, but I'd feel a lot more confident about using my 12" nonstick skillet as a weapon than any of the knives in my kitchen.

Ooops, looks like my info was out-of-date, and my pharmacy does require appointments for flu shots now. Oh well, after Thanksgiving maybe. Given how much better masking and social distancing work against the flu than Covid-19 itself, I'm not feeling all that much worry about catching it this week.

Ditto here. I want to wait long enough after my Covid booster that there's not an overlap of effects. (I didn't feel bad yesterday, but an afternoon nap turned into over 5 hours and then I slept through the night, which is unusual enough I'm assuming it was a side effect.)

I got my Pfizer booster shot this morning (wanted Moderna, but oh well). So far the only side effect is slight touchiness at the injection site, just like the last time.

How about any missing limbs mysteriously regrowing?

Of the ten Eternals, Sersi, Gilgamesh, Phastos and Makkari became non-white, and Kingo went from Japanese to Indian.
Makkari was depicted as a person of color in the Neil Gaiman Eternals miniseries back in 2006, so that wasn't a change specific to the movie (though the gender flip was).

I'm just peeved that this stomach bug/food poisoning I'm currently enjoying threw a wrench in my plans to see it Friday night. Trying to avoid spoilers has required increasing effort over the last few weeks (it seems like Marvel has released enough clips to comprise an entire movie). and it seems like everyone geek-inclined wants to talk about it.

It's currently pulling an 86% audience score on RT, which isn't top tier, but it's nothing to sneer at either:

Last Night in Soho Not exactly what I expected, but very gripping and distinctive. I loved the musical soundtrack and the cinematrography.
The Haunting of Hill House episodes 1-7. Hooo boy, this is good. I definitely see why people were raving about the one episode.

I have a character for whom I used Desolidification to model his complete immunity to heat and fire. The interesting thing is that he can't use said immunity to shield others from such attacks—they pass through him unimpeded.

I'd be withdrawing my kid(s) from Plague Rat Academy, and hoping the lawsuit to get the tuition money back would finish up before the last person on faculty with check-signing authority gets put on a ventilator.

Not in the land of the living much longer either, judging from her home treatment regimen.

'd also include some of sci-fi's most noted space-related writers, but unfortunately...most of them are Golden Age and passed away a very long time ago. Especially the recognizable ones like Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke, Bova,.... And, no, I won't nominate Orson Scott Card.
I would, assuming Musk feels like launching another of those orbital cars.

I think her insanity defense is pretty well set up when her case reaches court.

I wonder if Jones will say anything about the lawsuits on his show and risk the craziest of his followers harassing and stalking a sitting judge...

Is Texas very different from other states about jailing people over contempt of court in civil cases? I knew of someone who went to jail for not paying his court-mandated child support here in AR, and it seems like this is much more flagrant disrespect toward the judge.

He definitely would not. Alas, this proves to me that Old Man Steve isn't around anymore, as I think that would have brought him out of retirement.
