That seems to be the six, so should the last person to post one of the Syndication Six post the next team idea/writing prompt?

DoctorHammersmith got a reaction from Ninja-Bear in What villain organizations have you used?
Most of the villains in my games are player generated, with the hunteds and rivals and things, but a lot of them do end up hiring villainous organisations as their minion mercenaries or recruiting them to their own cause.

When you say "bellybutton" storage, are you saying that there is a pocket dimension where the bellybutton otherwose would be? Or a hollow space behind the bellybutton, which takes the place of the stomach? Or that the skin of the stomach stretches over whatever is pushed into there, so you could theoretically carry, say, a medicine ball (as a ludicrously heavy example) or a ten foot pole (as a ludicrously awkwardly shaped example) and just have that distending the stomach out of all proportion, but successfully carrying things?

Why is this a physical lim and not a psychological one?

A very cool collection of characters. Alliteration unintentional. But I especially love the cursed healer!

Has anyone tried to convert the character David Rice from the Jumper movie (and novels) using the hero system 6th edition?

    Thanks,

Possibly require an Area Knowledge check each time he jumps somewhere that he can't see. Although, he might be allowed to take Area Knowledge: Places that I have memorised.

It doesn't look like anyone has so far.

Probably a Multipower with various normal and Megascale Teleport powers, potentially including (spoiler) from the later novels, plus a goodly number of memorized locations.  Probably also a Power Skill: Teleport Tricks.

Yes, she's even got a +1/+1d6 Striking Appearance (vs. all characters). That would be 100% appropriate. I have a similar character in another game who has exactly that for a hunted.  Except that in the game I am playing with Hope, virtually all good guy heroes have been vanished, leaving supervillains and Viper free to do their worst. Such a disadvantage is 'extremely' likely to be sufficient to blow her cover and get her or others killed, far more so than the points would be worth. I generally prefer to avoid too many hunteds in any case, often building characters with none at all. They are not just a problem for her, they are the same for all players and sometimes even the GM. Rules as written, if every player has a hunted, virtually every scenario will feature one or more of them. Non-combat hunteds can also derail the intended narrative flow of a game.

Well with a high Pre and Supergirl as a model it sounds like she’s very pretty. How about in addition to her villain Hunted, you add  a paparazzi style reporter who followed her around for a Watched.  Somebody always looking to get an embarrassing picture or up skirt shot of her flying away.   Kind of a new millennium version of Silver Age Lois Lane bugging Superman.
With basically two secret ID’s this knob could be a real danger to her.

I'm working on a character that is very much an analog of Supergirl but in a Champions universe. I'm stuck looking for a good, thematic complication to give her. I am not trying to specifically replicate Supergirl, more looking for good ideas for another ten points.

To be fair, my belief in the death of the author, and my disappointment at finding out awful things about a lot of authors whose books had been fun up until I heard about the author's behaviour, means that whenever I do get into a discussion with somebody about an aspect of a book (or film, or whatever), and I find out that they wrote it (or directed it, or whatever), I still won't feel any more inclined to agree with their opinion about the "canon" is supposed to be.

Just because George Lucas thinks that Greedo shot at Han, doesn't mean I have to agree, even if there is a special edition.

DoctorHammersmith reacted to CaptainCoulson in What is the difference between the limitation 'gestures' and 'complex gestures'?
The difference between Gestures and Complex Gestures is just that a part of the Special Effects of the power becomes more complex, and therefore potentially more likely to fail or be stopped, and less likely to be replicable. For you to cast a spell that takes Complex Gestures, for instance, might mean that you have to be able to move your fingers in certain positions which you couldn't achieve if, for example, you were in a car accident that damaged the nerves in your hands. On the other hand, simple Gestures might allow you to do the same spell without even having that hand, because you just need to point your wrist in the right direction, since you have the special effects saying that your will to make magic happen is focussed enough that missing a hand is not an impediment. In this instance, "Gestures" is something like pointing roughly in the direction you want the spell to go, while "Complex Gestures" is a precise way of holding your fingers, while pointing exactly at the target.

Basically, if you want more of a limitation from the Gestures limitation, you take it as a Complex Limitation to let the GM know that this is your power's weakpoint, more so than ever.
