Re: I Can't Believe He Played That!
I am kind of stuck between thinking this character will be cool and thinking this character will be lame... but I do like puns, so I think somewhere along the line I will play her in a Dark Champions campaign... a nun who has just seem way too much and decides to take the law into her own hands (or rather, the two machine pistols held in those hands). Sister Mary will terrorize the streets as...
BAD HABIT!

Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age
In any case we have a SECOND dog and my niece staying with us now' date=' so I think the others might be interested in a new HQ...[/quote']I would be... yep yep

Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age
By the way Matt, welcome to the game... it was good to have you and I hope we did not scare you off!

Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age
Ok James, time to catch up... I am sure the rest of the gang here on the boards wants to see the latest as well... write, write, WRITE!

Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age
Wow... James makes the game seem so very cool. I'll have to work harder to make my Lo'ma'ndra as good as his...

Re: GGU NPCs For Review
all slots Must Be Sexually Attracted to Cheesecake (-1/2)*snicker*
Ummm... anyway, very good character. Only thing constructive I can come up with to say is... Are her pheramones so powerful that she just cannot smell anything other than herself (the flash defense)? If that is the case, then could you instead give her a little 5 point disadvantage of no sense of smell and use the points from the flash defense for something else? Just a thought...

Dragonmark?
Trogdor?

Re: GGU NPCs For Review
Good character... I agree with Fireg0lem's idea about recovery instead of endurance, although either is workable. Also, you have the Blinding Flare attack set as hearing group (I know, just a typo)
I found it amusing that a man with sun powers dresses in black (with mask) to bring fear into the hearts of his opponents... his powers would tend to kind of defeat the intent. Also makes me think an alternate name for him would be Sunspot... heh!

Re: Storn's Fantasy Art, Comics and Doodles
I think James was making fun of d20 in wondering if it were any good portraying a fantasy setting, rather than wondering about M&M in particular

Re: Weirdest Hero question yet
I'm not sure how long ago' date=' but a net "supplement" was created for GURPS detailing rules for sexual encounters using the system. It was called, obviously enough, GURPS:Sex. I was wondering had anyone ever done something simililar for HERO (pure morbid curiosity, I assure you).[/quote']Hmmmm... Sex Hero... we should get Steve to write this one as another of his little side projects.

Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age
Man... I wish I was in a campaign like this! Oh wait... I am... my bad.
Still though, this is a fun read.

Re: Campaign: The Turakian Age
Not that the game is not fun to play in, but Jeff's prose is even more fun to read... brings everything into focus without the side chatter.
"Bring me your three most beautiful chickens!" Bwahaha... priceless.

They seem to have added some "classes" to the d20 version (like the Psychotic Schoolgirl -drool drool-). I would almost pick up the copy my FLGS has, were it not for the fact that the book has, at best, 160 pages, and they want like $30 for it. I'm sorry, I like MWwG as much as the next fanboy, but not that much.
James has had a tendency to spend dollars on the occassional odd book that he is never going to use... not that they are not cool books... actually, the $30 for MWwGs is not so bad... what really made me raise an eyebrow was the $50 for the Conan RPG by Mongoose. A very very cool book... but $50 and I'll be very very surprised if it ever gets used in an actual game.

I have played an archer character off and on for years and have come to the conclusion that 24 arrows is plenty... Most combats do not really last very long and unless you are on an extended mission, far from any avenue of resupply and lose the arrows you have through attrition (not counting the expendable special arrows) you should not have a problem filling up your 24 in between encounters.
Besides, where would you store 75 arrows? You'd look like a Liefield character...

Wah! Come on people... do any of you think that this Almafeta person is going to be converted by your rebuttles of his review? There is always going to be someone that is going to come out of the woodwork and post a piss-poor review like the one in question. Instead of posting about this here on the Hero Games board, I suggest someone champion the book (pun intended) and post a new proper review to provide a more balanced view of the game for the people on RPG.net

I wonder if Prince is still partying like it's 1999?

I can deal with this...

Aren't those 2 susceptibilities close to being identical?
I like the writeup other than that... very good!
Is this writeup for a "monsters" in and of itself, or is this designed to allow PC Lizardmen? If it is the second, unless your game is fairly high powered as opposed to 75+75, there is precious little room for character customization.

That is funny... I used to have a gaming friend here in town by the name of Mike Romine... one time the gaming group I was in at the time were making up joke characters about each other and mine for Mike was a shrinking mentalist named... Micro Mind.

Hello folks... I am working on a character and I could use an assist. I have some points available on a gadgeteer that I am working on and I would like to come up with a few abilities that are not gadget-based. So can ya'll help me with some ideas for super-intellect based powers?
Second, I always have a bit of trouble coming up with a good list of sciences and knowledges... what are your top 10 sciences and top 10 knowledges to place on a PC?
Thanks in advance!

Man... first time I read that I thought it said Instant Chicago usable against others... attacking people with Broadway shows would be cruel and unusual.
