  1. Re: Worth a thousand words? Ivy Ivy was a child of Mother Nature and Father Time. Placed on Earth at the beginning of time. Ivy is the very essence of trees, shrubs, and any other plant. Ivy never interacted with humans. They pollute and destroy. Making her beauty into a mockery. She ignored these non plants for what seemed to be an eternity. But when they dropped the bombs on Japan. They crossed the line. She started paying attention to the fleshy beings. She didn't like it. But she needed a body. One that would take out her revenge for her. As she studied fleshy beings. She found that she disliked men more than women. So she took the image of a woman. Ivy can control any plant. Cause any plant to grow anywhere (even in the wrong environment), she is made out of plants not flesh, she can even make very poisonous plants. And she is taking revenge on these fleshy beings. Cutting off their air, causing famine, whatever it takes. Glacier and Granite Glacier and Granite were mutants abducted by VIPER when they were teenagers. VIPER started to brainwash them. But Granite's body was as hard as his mind (Damage Reduction - vs Mental) He helped Glacier keep her mind about her too. They played along at first to get control of their mutant powers. Eventually, they took on their VIPER abductors and became heroes. They fought together on so many occasions, and worked so well together, people thought they were married. So Granite and Glacier decided to tie the knot. They have been happily married for a year now. Which is a good thing. Because something is wrong with all of the plants in the area.... Granite is a super brick, with mental protection to boot. Glacier is a cold and ice energy projector.
  2. Dr. Destroyer has multiple escape plans. Mechanon has multiple bodies. I even have villains that seem to escape at the last minute. So what's the point? They're gonna escape anyways. Right?
  3. Re: Worth a thousand words? Yun Li was from a family or sorcerers. Each member of her family was taught a different specialty. Li's specialty was necromancy. She was the most powerful member of the family. But she didn't feel powerful enough. So, she searched the globe for the mystical staff: The Animator of the Dead. (loosely translated). This staff could raise an entire graveyard in one hour. And all under her command. But, she was consistently followed by a mercenary. Captain Blight. Captain Blight was practically immune to Li's power. Which is quite an accomplishment for someone who is dead. You see, while Li was first learning all of her new powers; an American military man was sent in to discover what she was all about. Li discovered Blight, and attacked him, and he died. When she tried to animate his corpse. It was her first time to animate the dead. And she got the spell wrong. Instead of a mindless loyal zombie, Blight was alive - in a sense - again. Li's powers couldn't affect Blight anymore, Plus Blight's guns and knife could work on any undead creature. Blight escaped capture (he was still outnumbered), and decided to make it his "life's" work to keep tabs on Li. You can't tell by looking at Blight that he is dead. So he plays it like he's still alive. And his unusual sense of humor explains the T-shirt.
  4. Re: Worth a thousand words? At first glance, it looks like she'd have a STR of 40 or more. Plus the belt would have a few tricks - pellet sized maybe (smoke pellets, entangle pellets, etc) The helmet make her look like she could communicate with someone through it, or provide mental protection. She looks like she has a military background (maybe it's the "determination" on her face).
  5. Re: Worth a thousand words? I forgot to mention that he also has on a peach colored bra underneath that breastplate. I didn't know if I laughed more when I made him, or of the comments. I'm now sure it's from the comments.
  6. There is a saying: "A picture is worth a thousand words". So, I'm testing that theory. I have randomly made a character on hero Machine. (when you see him, you will see how random he is). Everything from pose, to whether he even had a feature, to the color of the feature. Basically, can we determine his background, powers, super hero name, and personality from a random picture? Here is the image:

  10. Re: Teen Champions plots How about a fire. People trapped. Fire department is still an hour away... Who's going to save them? Same could be said about an earthquake, tornado, tidal wave etc. It depends on where the school is located. The teens go to class and suddenly all of the adults are gone. Vanish before their eyes. Aliens land at the school and they seem friendly at first. Until they take over the staff... In the super science lab, someone has built a machine that can travel to other dimensions. Suddenly, no one can leave and everywhere they try to go leads them to the wrong place. Everyone starts getting older and older. A virus is affecting everyone. The school is quarantined. The students have to shrink down and enter someone's body to fight (and learn how to defeat) the "sentient" disease. Inanimate objects are coming alive and attacking everyone. The school yard is turned into a prehistoric (with dinosaurs) forest. They need to make it to point "A" to get it to stop. People are disappearing one at a time, and no one but the students are noticing or doing anything about it. The teachers are acting like children.
  11. Re: Teen Champions plots So there is a rule not to use their powers. They are training to use their powers. So have an NPC question the rules. Make sure that the players are there so they can put their opinion in. This NPC should keep asking the questions the players really want answers: "Why are we training if we can't use our powers to help people", "When CAN we start using our powers to help people?", "So if I'm attacked, shouldn't I defend myself". The best way around breaking the rules is to change the rules - even if a little at a time. Get the players involved in changing those rules. Also: 1. The power practicing room goes haywire. The teachers can't shut it off and the players have to protect themselves. 2. Someone comes in and "rescues" (kidnaps) the kids. They are the only ones that can stop him. 3. The school is whisked away to another dimension and the teachers allow the students to protect themselves. (thus laying the groundwork for changing the rules). Once you allow the students to protect themselves or others; they can use that loophole over and over again.
  12. This is for all those people out there that can actually draw. Would anyone be willing to help those of us out here who can't draw with images? For example: I needed an image of amorphous horror from bestiary. But that kind of image isn't on the web. I had to make do with a second rate copy. Then I was thinking: "There is probably a lot of people out there that need a specific image". Hero Games has lots of great artists. I wonder if people asked for an image, would they make one for us who have troubles drawing a straight line. So anyone would like to make an image of amorphous horror? I'm sure others have similar requests. Amorphous horror is huge (16m tall), has multiple tentacles, stretching, clawed hands, and many fanged mouths. It also secretes acid.
  13. Re: Catalyst: A Champions campaign on Hero Central The wait to know if you've been accepted or not is excruciating
  14. Re: Shen Gong Wu: Season One Also, technically, each Wu should also have Extreme Side effect: Always occurs, only affects environment to represent the scenery changing during each challenge - however, since the change is temporary, it should be only a -0 Limitaion.
  15. Re: Shen Gong Wu: Season One The only one that I wish I would have worked more on was Orb or Tornami. It should have been a multipower. Fill room with water: Change Environment and suppress (page 379 of Hero System Revised) Wave attack: Area effect Energy Blast Water attack: Energy Blast Drowning?: Never used on the show, but possible effect, Energy Blast, NND I was getting towards the end of finishing... Oh, well, no one's perfect.
  16. Re: Shen Gong Wu: Season One The reason I chose.. Independent: In the show, the main object was to acquire the Shen Gong Wu. If it were just a focus, (even an OAF) the item would only be stolen once in a while. That, combined with the fact that you cannot replace the item is the reason I chose this Limitation. Incantations: During the show, the person holding the item called out the name of the item before it seemed to work. Granted this did not happen all the time. Heart of Jong and Shroud of Shadows probably shouldn't have this limitation. But it was easier to leave it on all the items. Side Effects: During the show; whoever won the Shen Gong Wu, kept the Shen Gong Wu. Even "evil" people like Jack adhered to this rule. So the item has the Limitation. Focus: If the items could be grabbed away during combat, I gave it an OAF, and if not (in most cases), I gave it an OIF. Only the shroud of shadows got the IAF Limitation. Note: The reversing mirror should have the OAF Limitation.
  17. This is a list of all the Shen Gong Wu from season one of Xiaolin Showdown: The Mantis Flip Coin was the first Shen Gong Wu to reveal itself. It is a red and gold coin with a square hole in the middle which resembles a Chinese cash coin that allows the user to do high jumps and flips, and can also twist and turn in midair, though these attributes are not something the insect is known for. The Chosen Ones went to San Francisco to locate it, but discovered Jack Spicer, who had already taken it. However, Omi won it in a Xiaolin Showdown later that day. They kept it for most of season one, being their only Shen Gong Wu at a couple of points, but it was regained by the Heylin as a result of the Royal Rumble. Mantis Flip Coin: (Total: 33 Active Cost, 6 Real Cost) +5 DEX (15 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), No Figured Characteristics (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 2) plus Acrobatics 9- (3 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 1) plus Breakfall 9- (3 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 1) plus Leaping +7" (18"/23" forward, 9"/11 1/2" upward) (Accurate) (12 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Requires An Acrobatics Roll (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 2)) After Jack Spicer took possession of the Mantis Flip Coin, the monks headed to Venice, Italy to retrieve the Two-Ton Tunic. It was the first Shen Gong Wu to be used in the series. The tunic is Dashi's impenetrable armor. When activated, the Two-Ton Tunic can block all sorts of attacks, but as the name implies, it is very heavy. In later episodes, Wuya used the Two-Ton Tunic as part of Mala Mala Jong, along with the other Shen Gong Wu. After the battle, the Xiaolin took back possession of it after the defeat of Mala Mala Jong. Two Ton Tunic: (Total: 92 Active Cost, 17 Real Cost) Density Increase (3,200 kg mass, +25 STR, +5 PD/ED, -5" KB) (25 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 5) plus Armor (15 PD/15 ED), Hardened (x2; +1/2) (67 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Activation Roll 14- (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 12)) The Eye of Dashi was the first Shen Gong Wu that a Xiaolin Showdown was fought for. It is a pendant with a red ruby in the center that releases bolts of electricity and also generates unlimited power into a desired object, which is useful to power up machines, such as when it was used to power Jack Spicer's time machine in "Days Past". Raimundo and Kimiko often use it with their Wind and Fire element, respectively. In a later episode, Jack Spicer stole it with almost all of the other Shen Gong Wu belonging to the Xiaolin. Wuya then used it as part of Mala Mala Jong, but the Xiaolin gained it on the defeat of Mala Mala Jong. Can be combined with the Sword of the Storm to create a new Shen Gong Wu. The Eye was the first Shen Gong Wu wagered in a Shen Yi Bu Dare with the Sword of the Storm. Since "Shen Yi Bu" it has been shown attached to the Sword of the Storm although it is still used separately. In Chinese Dashi means "Master", and is the name of the Master Xiaolin Dragon in the series and the (possible) sole creator of the Shen Gong Wu, Grand Master Dashi. 13 Eye of Dashi: Multipower, 75-point reserve, (75 Active Points); all slots Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) 1u 1) Lightning blast: Energy Blast 9 1/2d6, Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (72 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)0 1u 2) Increase Shen Gong Wu power: Aid Any Shen Gong Wu power 5d6, any Shen Gong Wu power one at a time (+1/4), Variable Special Effects (Limited Group of SFX; Any Shen Gong Wu; +1/4) (75 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)0 1u 3) Increase personal elemental power: Aid Own elemental power 5d6, Variable Special Effects (Limited Group of SFX; Any elemental power; +1/4), any Elemental power one at a time (+1/4) (75 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)0 1u 4) Increse mechanical power: Aid Any mechanical power 5d6, Variable Special Effects (Limited Group of SFX; Any mechanical power; +1/4), any mechanical power one at a time (+1/4) (75 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) The Third-Arm Sash is a waist sash that functions as a third arm and does things at the user's wish. The Third-Arm Sash was found in Paris, France, already in the possession of Jack Spicer. It is often used with Clay's Earth element, though Kimiko is seen using it quite a lot in later episodes. After losing the first three Shen Gong Wu, Jack Spicer got the Third-Arm Sash, only to lose it to Clay in the next Xiaolin Showdown. In a later episode, Jack Spicer stole it with almost all of the other Shen Gong Wu belonging to the Xiaolin. Wuya then used it as part of Mala Mala Jong, but the Xiaolin regained it after the defeat of Mala Mala Jong. Third Arm Sash: Telekinesis (15 STR), Fine Manipulation, Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (49 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Physical Manifestation (-1/4), Limited Range (15"; -1/4), Incantations (-1/4)) The Fist of Tebigong is a metal gauntlet that is strong enough to crack the earth. Because of this, it is often used with Clay's Earth element. It can also function as a shield of sorts, as used by Tubbimura against Raimundo's Eye of Dashi. Clay won it in his first Xiaolin Showdown, though Kimiko lost it in the next one. Raimundo won it from Tubbimura some time later. In a later episode, Jack Spicer stole it with almost all of the other Shen Gong Wu belonging to the Xiaolin. Wuya then used it as part of Mala Mala Jong, but the Xiaolin gained it on the defeat of Mala Mala Jong. In a later episode, Clay's sister Jessie stole it from them, but returned it at the end of the episode. Named after the Chinese words for special, arm, and skill, it literally means a gauntlet of special power. The Fist of Tebigong has changed hands the most of any Shen Gong Wu, followed by the The Reversing Mirror. Fist of Tebigong: (Total: 85 Active Cost, 14 Real Cost) +40 STR (40 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), No Figured Characteristics (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 7) plus Armor (15 PD/15 ED) (45 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), Requires A DEX Roll (-3/4), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 7)) The Jetbootsu are shoes that allow the wearer to defy gravity, which would therefore allow them to fly, float, and walk on walls and ceilings. They also bear resemblance to the boots Jack Spicer always wears. This was first seen already in the possession of Jack Spicer, allowing him to easily walk up a cliff face to win the Monkey Staff. Jack doesn't lose the Jetbootsu, but in "Chameleon" both Jack and the Xiaolin Warriors say Jack only has the Changing Chopsticks, however later episodes may have explained that his mom was cleaning them. Jack has them again in "My Homey Omi," when Omi wins it from Jack in a Xiaolin basketball match. The Heylin retrieved it after Omi lost it back to Jack in a Showdown for the Heart of Jong and Wuya then used it as part of Mala Mala Jong, but the Xiaolin gained it on the defeat of Mala Mala Jong. Jack stole them using the Shard of Lightning, but Omi later won them back in a Shen Yi Bu Dare against the Cyclops. Jetbootsu: (Total: 50 Active Cost, 10 Real Cost) Flight 20" (40 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 8) plus Clinging (normal STR) (10 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 2)) The Monkey Staff is a brown staff with a small monkey's statue on top that turns the user into a being with a similar appearance, strength, agility and balance to a monkey. If it is used too long after the wielder calls out its name, then the user will believe that he or she is an actual monkey, and his or her human memories will be erased until the staff is taken away. Jack Spicer used it all the time when he first won it, eventually leading to his failure in Xiaolin Showdown. In a later episode, Jack Spicer stole it with almost all of the other Shen Gong Wu belonging to the Xiaolin, but the Xiaolin took it back some time later. During the year of the Green Monkey, when someone uses the Monkey Staff and Tongue of Saiping, the user of the Monkey Staff will be granted an army of green monkeys. That is also the time when the Monkey Staff is at its most powerful. In the Xiaolin team Kimiko usually uses the Monkey Staff. The Monkey Staff was mostly used by Jack. Jack stole the Monkey Staff back in Treasure of the Blind Swordsman. In the episode "Chameleon" Omi called out its name and instead of thinking he was a monkey, it had the usual effect. By the end of the series, it is one of the two Shen Gong Wu not in the hands of the Xiaolin Warriors, the other being the Wings of Tinabi, which are still with Clay's sister Jesse. Monkey Staff: (Total: 26 Active Cost, 5 Real Cost) +5 STR, Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Slowly turns into a monkey (mentally and physically) over time; +0) (5 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), No Figured Characteristics (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 1) plus +5 DEX, Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Slowly turns into a monkey (mentally and physically) over time; +0) (15 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), No Figured Characteristics (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 2) plus Acrobatics 9-, Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Slowly turns into a monkey (mentally and physically) over time; +0) (3 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 1) plus Breakfall 9-, Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Slowly turns into a monkey (mentally and physically) over time; +0) (3 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 1)) The Tangle Web Comb is a comb that shoots out a string of hair from the teeth and binds the target. It is a Shen Gong Wu that requires absolute focus, or else the strings will bind the holder. Kimiko had a lot of trouble with it when she first got it, but eventually mastered it in her next Xiaolin Showdown. In a later episode, Jack Spicer stole it with almost all of the other Shen Gong Wu belonging to the Xiaolin. The Tangle Web Comb was found in Loch Ness, Scotland. Katnappe used it to defeat Kimiko in the Royal Rumble. Somehow the Xiaolin made to take it back, but lost it on the escape of the Shen Gong Wu Trove with the Fist of Tebigong. Kimiko won it from Sibini in a later episode. Tangle Web Comb: Entangle 4d6, 4 DEF (40 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Requires An EGO Roll (-1), Side Effects (Character is Entangled if EGO roll has failed.; -1/2), Concentration (1/2 DCV; -1/4), Incantations (-1/4)) The Golden Tiger Claws, when swiped in the air, creates a tear in time and space that allows the user to go wherever he/she wishes to. Although Kimiko wins it in episode 3, it is more the focus of the next episode. Katnappe quickly gains the claws for Wuya, but then takes it for herself and uses them to commit crimes. Omi takes it and sends it to the center of the Earth in order to stop it being used in a criminal manner. However, Omi uses the Serpent's Tail in the episode Mala Mala Jong to get it back when he needs it to defeat Mala Mala Jong. Shortly afterwards, Raimundo uses it in a Xiaolin Showdown just as he turns to the side of Heylin. He uses them a lot while he is an enemy of the Xiaolin, but when he returns to the group, it returns with him. When Rai leaves the temple, he uses it to go to a hill over shadowing his home town. Wuya tempts him to the Heylin side and while Heylin, he would never take them off. Also, when he used the Golden Tiger Claws during the passing of the Heylin Comet, they got stuck onto his right hand. This is probably the most well-known and versatile Shen Gong Wu. It is one of the six Shen Gong Wu to have the highest rarity designation ("Premium") in the Xiaolin Showdown Trading Card Game. Golden Tiger Claws: Teleportation 10", No Relative Velocity, Position Shift, x2 Increased Mass, Safe Blind Teleport (+1/4), Reduced Endurance (1/2 END; +1/4), MegaScale (1" = 1 million km; +1 3/4), Can Be Scaled Down 1" = 1km (+1/4) (140 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Gestures (-1/4), Incantations (-1/4)) The Changing Chopsticks are a pair of chopsticks that shrink the user or another object to the size of a grain of rice and to return the shrunken object to its original size. The Changing Chopsticks were found on Easter Island. It can also be used in combination with the Reversing Mirror to increase an object's size, but both Shen Gong Wu are then required to return things to normal size. Katnappe first won them for the Heylin, though the main aim at the time was to get the Golden Tiger Claws from Omi and the Xiaolin. Later, Jack Spicer used the Changing Chopsticks to steal most of the Shen Gong Wu from the Xiaolin Temple, which surprised Wuya, as she thought the Changing Chopsticks were useless. The Xiaolin later acquired the Changing Chopsticks, and Omi used them to make himself a giant with the Reversing Mirror. When that proved unfruitful, he shrunk himself smaller than his original size, and needed the Reversing Mirror to turn back, but the Reversing Mirror was lost to the Heylin. It was later won back, and Omi returned to his original size. In one episode, Kimiko used the Changing Chopsticks with the Mindreading Conch and her PDA. This allowed her to enter other peoples minds via the Internet, with embarrassing results. In "Enter the Dragon", Jack Spicer used the Glove of Jisaku to steal the Changing Chopsticks, along with the Monkey Staff and Tongue of Sai Ping, but it was given back to the Xiaolin to deal with the evil two-headed Dojo. They were later lost to Jessie Bailey, Clay's sister, along with the Golden Tiger Claws, Glove of Jisaku, Mind Reader Conch, Fist of Tebigong, Wings of Tinabi, Silk Spitter, and Orb of Tornami. She returned all of them at the end of the episode, except the Wings of Tinabi. Changing Chopsticks: Shrinking (0.0156 m tall, 4.768E-5 kg mass, -14 PER Rolls to perceive character, +14 DCV, takes +21" KB), Reduced Endurance (1/2 END; +1/4) (87 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), No Growth Momentum (-1/4), Incantations (-1/4)) The Sword of the Storm is a sword that controls the wind and makes tornadoes, and while activated the holder also gains the ability to phase through objects just like when using the Serpent's Tail. The Sword of the Storm was found in Monte Carlo. It is often used in conjunction with Raimundo's Wind Element. This makes the holder invulnerable to enemies, but they also become unable to make contact with anything else, which Raimundo discovered to his dismay when the Sword activated as he tried to slash at Tubbimura, sending him flying right through while Tubbimura was unharmed. When combined with the Eye of Dashi, the holder can fly at great speeds. Tubbimura joined the Heylin, and took it from Raimundo easily. But, after a lot of studying, Raimundo won it back the following day (with a Shen Yi Bu dare). In the following episode, however, Jack Spicer stole it with almost all of the other Shen Gong Wu belonging to the Xiaolin. Clay won it back in a later Xiaolin Showdown. Clay's sister Jessie stole it with other Shen Gong Wu, but returned it later. Sword of the Storm: (Total: 222 Active Cost, 41 Real Cost) Desolidification (affected by Wind / Air), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (60 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 11) plus Telekinesis (20 STR), Reduced Endurance (1/2 END; +1/4), Affects Physical World (+2) (97 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 18) plus Energy Blast 4d6, Reduced Endurance (1/2 END; +1/4), Affects Physical World (+2) (65 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 12)) The Shroud of Shadows is a black invisibility cloak. It changes color to blend in with its environment, rendering the user completely invisible. The Shroud of Shadows was found in Tokyo,Japan. Raimundo beats Tubbimura in a Shen Yi Bu Dare to win it. In the following episode, Jack Spicer stole it with almost all of the other Shen Gong Wu belonging to the Xiaolin. Omi later wins it back in a Xiaolin basketball match. Wuya then used it as part of Mala Mala Jong (unknown how he got it because it was in the possession of the Xiaolin Warriors when he awoke), but the Xiaolin gained it on the defeat of Mala Mala Jong. Wuya stole the Shroud of Shadows in Omi Town (Unknown how the Xiaolin Monks got it back in 'Time After Time pt. 1', (Kimiko used it to spy on the others)). Shroud of Shadows: Invisibility to Sight Group , No Fringe, Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (45 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), IIF (-1/4), Incantations (-1/4)) The Helmet of Jong is a helmet that gives the wearer eyes in the back of their head while also allowing them to keep the ones in front, thus giving them all-round vision. Jack Spicer uses his Chameleon-Bot disguised as Kimiko to win it easily. Wuya used it as part of Mala Mala Jong, but the Xiaolin gained it on the defeat of Mala Mala Jong. Later Jack stole it with many other Shen Gong Wu. In a later episode he traded it with most of his Shen Gong Wu for robot parts, but walked away with it and several other Shen Gong Wu at the end of the episode. But after the Fearsome Four were created, the Xiaolin gained it back after retrieving the Emperor Scorpion in the Xiaolin Showdown entitled "The Ropes Of Darkness". It is never really used by any one except for when Raimundo was taken over by the Shen Gong Wu when the Heylin Comet passed over the Earth in 218: "The Last Temptation of Raimundo". It was used by Wuya along with the Third-Arm Sash and the Mantis Flip Coin. Helmet of Jong: Increased Arc Of Perception (360 Degrees) with Sight Group (10 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4)) Hidden inside an Olmec pyramid filled with booby traps, the Ring of the Nine Dragons is able to divide its user into as many as nine people, allowing them to be in more than one place at once. However, the Ring also divides the user's maturity, skill, potential, and other qualities, unless the user is powerful enough. When Omi found it, he used it to turn himself into three separate people, each with a personality trait. Jack Spicer later challenged one of the Omi's to a Xiaolin Showdown when Omi had later divided himself into five individuals. Omi lost the Showdown, as Spicer challenged the easy going Omi. The five Omi's were crushed back together before the end of the showdown. In the first episode, the ring divided Jack into eight identical yet goofy Jack's, but in "The Emperor Scorpion Strikes Back" each Jack created by the Ring of the Nine Dragons was different from each other. In "Pandatown" PandaBubba's henchman seemed to have no trouble using it to capture Raimundo. It could also be used to divide Mala Mala Jong into the Fearsome Four, four equally destructive warriors whose arrival signal the end of the world Ring of the Nine Dragons: Duplication (creates 9 250-point Duplicates) (70 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Maturity, Skill, and Potential is divisible by the number of duplicates produced ; -1 1/2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes Teprorary Ownership of Shen Gong Wu winner.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4)) The Falcon's Eye is a monocle that allows the wearer to see through objects, use telescopic vision, or see in the dark. It can be held at the eye or be worn. Jack won it in a snowboard showdown against Omi, and lost it on the next episode. Omi wagered it in a Shen Yi Bu Dare against Jack in "My Homey Omi." Later the Chameleon-Bot won it in a showdown against Raimundo, but somehow the monks got it back. Raimundo also used it against the Heylin Plant Gigi in a Xiaolin Showdown for the Moonstone Locust. Raimundo seems to use the Falcon's Eye the most. Falcon's Eye: (Total: 23 Active Cost, 4 Real Cost) N-Ray Perception (Sight Group) (10 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 2) plus +5 versus Range Modifier for Sight Group (8 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 1) plus Nightvision (5 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) (Real Cost: 1)) The Sapphire Dragon is a dragon statue that can turn anyone good, evil, or neutral into sapphire with its breath beams, becoming more powerful with each person turned into a sapphire statue. Even worse, it can also control the people that are sapphire, thus turning them into the Sapphire Dragon's slaves. This makes it the most dangerous Shen Gong Wu, only to be used as an absolute last resort. The only way to keep the Sapphire Dragon under control is with the Emperor Scorpion. It can only be deactivated by covering it with soot, which was the reason why Grand Master Dashi hid it inside an active volcano as the Sapphire Dragon is activated automatically. Omi won it in a Showdown, but when Kimiko was researching it and wiped some of the soot away, it activated and wreaked havoc throughout the temple, turning everyone in the Xiaolin Temple (with the exception of the cowardly Dojo) into the Sapphire Dragon's minions. Dojo managed to defeat the dragon by drinking two bottles of Clay's Grandpappy's Texas Tinhorn Sizzlin' Salsa hot sauce and belching out enough fire to completely cover the dragon in soot, rendering it inert and freeing all of its victims. In Dream Stalker, Hannibal Roy Bean used the Moby Morpher to transform the Dragon under the guise of Raimundo's worst nightmare — a jellyfish. The Dragon also displays traits of intelligence when it calls upon a sapphire monkey and rhino under its control to confront the Wudai Warriors (save Raimundo) in a Xiaolin Showdown. When Jack stole it from the Vault in Omi Town, it wasn't covered with soot, which causes some confusion. Possession of: Sapphire Dragon: Major Transform 3d6 (Person into controllable statue., Covering Sapphire Dragon with soot), Costs END Only To Activate (+1/4), Uncontrolled (Stopped by Emperor Scorpion Shen Gong Wu; +1/2), Continuous (+1) (124 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)) The Serpent's Tail is a miniature dragon's tail that allows the user to either glide or travel through solid objects and protect the user from physical attacks, but it can be taken away even when someone's still ghostly. Omi won it in a Xiaolin basketball match with Jermaine. Later on, when Mala Mala Jong was created, Omi used it to get to the center of the earth to get the Golden Tiger Claws, which he used to defeat Mala Mala Jong. Later on, when Raimundo was on Wuya's side, he stole it to use with the Reversing Mirror to break the spell which made Wuya a ghost, but he returned it when he returned to the group. The same goes for Chase Young after stealing the Tail from the Temple and returned Wuya to her corporeal form. This Shen Gong Wu, however, does not enable the user to be protected from non-physical attacks such as fire and lightning. It could be possible Chase stole it in Time After Time (1) which is why he had it in the next episode. Whenever it is used or even mentioned a ghostly "ooohh" sound accompanies it. Serpent's Tail: Desolidification (affected by Energy Attacks), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (60 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)) The Orb of Tornami is a light-blue crystal ball that can release an entire flood worth of water or ice from the level of Xiaolin Apprentice. It can also be used to transform water, if used correctly. Because of this, it is often used with Omi's Water Element, and in the second season he rarely travels without it. When it first revealed itself, however, Jack got away without even a Xiaolin Showdown, but the monks got it back in the following episode. When Omi went back in time to find a way to defeat Wuya, he only took the Orb of Tornami with him, and it allowed him to return to the future after he froze himself in the past. In "The Last Temptation of Raimundo", Omi warns Raimundo (who wanted to use the Orb) that the Orb of Tornami takes discipline to use correctly, evidenced by the fact when carefree Raimundo sent a blast out of the Orb that sent him flying. But that was because of the Haylin comet making the Shen Gong Wu act strangely. Evidently, the Orb can also be used as a wake-up call for stubborn sleepers; for example: waking up a sleeping Jack when he briefly joined the Xiaolin Temple, and — at some point — Raimundo. The name Tornami is a combination of Torrent and Tsunami. Orb of Tornomi: Change Environment 128" radius, -2 DCV, Long-Lasting 20 Minutes (50 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)) The Star Hanabi is a star that acts as a shuriken, shoots fire, lights through the dark and allows people to glide over fire. It is often used with Kimiko's Fire element. Because of this, it can also be thrown like a flaming boomerang. When once used on one of Spicer's robots — the Yes-Bot — in Pandatown, the robot erupted in firework-like sparks. It is a family heirloom of Clay's family called the Lone Star, but Clay's father wouldn't let him have it until he proved himself worthy of it. Eventually, Clay had to do that through a Xiaolin "Hoedown" for it against Jack. In Japanese, hanabi means fireworks Star Hanabi: Multipower, 45-point reserve, (45 Active Points); all slots Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xialin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4) 1u 1) Shruriken: Killing Attack - Ranged 2d6 (30 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xialin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)3 1u 2) Shoots fire: Energy Blast 9d6 (45 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xialin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)4 1u 3) Lights the way: Sight Group Images 1" radius, +/-3 to PER Rolls (19 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xialin showdown; -1 1/2), Only To Create Light (-1), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)2 1u 4) Glide over Fire: Flight 1" (2 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xialin showdown; -1 1/2), Only over fire (-1), OAF (-1), Incantations (-1/4)) The Lotus Twister is a flower that can turn the user's limbs as flexible as rubber. Kimiko fought Katnappe for it in a swamp during the Royal Rumble, but she was defeated. Raimundo won it in a Xiaolin Showdown against Jack some time afterwards, but then joined Wuya after the showdown. It took its place with the other Xiaolin Shen Gong Wu when Raimundo returned to the group. Lotis Twister: Stretching 15" (75 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Limited Body Parts (Arms only; -1/4), Incantations (-1/4)) The Longi Kite is a kite that looks like a dragon that allows the wearer to fly with the wings of a dragon. Raimundo got tricked by Chameleon-Bot V2 in an episode. He fought the Chameleon-Bot V2 for it on a beach during the Royal Rumble. Raimundo came out defeated, but reclaimed it after being saved by Omi. Later, the Longi Kite was stolen by Jack using the Shard of Lightning, but was then sold to Pandabubba so Jack could buy robot parts for his Yes-Bot. Raimundo won it back for the Xiaolin Dragons in a Showdown Trio against Jack and Pandabubba. Mala Mala Jong used it when he formed himself alone. It was also one of the Shen Gong Wu that won free will from the Heylin Comet that controlled Raimundo. It is interesting to note that most of the times the Longi Kite was used, its name wasn't called out on-screen. This is one of the few, non-solid Shen Gong Wu, as it looks and sounds like it is made of paper. Named after the Chinese characters long and yi for "dragon" and "wing". Longi Kite: Flight 20" (40 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Restrainable (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4)) The Tongue of Saiping is a plate with a tongue that allows the user to talk to and understand animals. This Shen Gong Wu allows the user to command the animals, like in the Shard of Lightning when Omi is in a Xiaolin Showdown with Jack/Robo-Jack. Clay fought Tubbimura for it in the Arctic during the Royal Rumble. He was defeated, but reclaimed it after being saved by Omi. Jack Spicer later stole it from the Vault for Chase Young. Then Omi used it to talk with a spider in the episode "Dangerous Minds", when they tried to get the Hoduku Mouse. Combined with the Monkey Staff it will give the user the control of an army of green monkeys. Tongue of Saiping: Telepathy 10d6 (Animal class of minds), Reduced Endurance (1/2 END; +1/4) (62 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Communication Only (-1/4), Does Not Provide Mental Awareness (-1/4), Normal Range (-1/4), Limited Range (20"; -1/4), Incantations (-1/4)) The Sun Chi Lantern is a lantern that combines the chi of anyone in the light of the lantern. However, it was only shown to give the user temporary control over his/her surrounding people(s) elements. Omi fought Jack for it in the desert and won. He then used the Sun Chi Lantern to gain the abilities of his friends, enabling him to rescue them. This was the only time that it was used. It hasn't been mentioned since, except in a cameo in the episode Chucky Choo and briefly, being stolen by the Heylin Plant and in possession of one of Pandabubba's henchmen. In Chinese, "san chi" literally means "three chi", which may be what this Shen Gong Wu's name is derived from. Sun Chi Lantern: Variable Power Pool (power), 250 base + 20 control cost, (375 Active Points); all slots Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown; -1 1/2), OAF (-1), Limited Class Of Powers Available Limited (Only abilities, powers, or skills of "friends"; -1/2), Incantations (-1/4) Shen Gong Wu, all slots Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), Incantations (-1/4)) The Heart of Jong is a heart that brings inanimate objects to life and gives them human emotion. When combined with many Shen Gong Wu, it creates Mala Mala Jong, which is invincible and great for Wuya's plans. Jack won it in a Xiaolin Showdown against Omi in an acorn forest. When the Xiaolin warriors found a way to stop Mala Mala Jong in the episode Mala Mala Jong, Wuya runs off leaving them with The Heart of Jong along with all the other Shen Gong Wu that Mala Mala Jong was made up of. Jack regained the Heart of Jong when he raided the temple in the episode Dreamscape. In the episode, The Deep Freeze Jack has used it to animate Dude-Bot. Not liking feeling emotions, Dude-Bot commits suicide by ripping it out and throwing it into a deep ravine, where it brings the snow to life creating Raksha, an evil super snowman, who Omi defeats in a hockey themed Xiaolin Showdown to recover the Shen Gong Wu. It is one of the six Shen Gong Wu to have the highest rarity designation ("Premium") in the Xiaolin Showdown Trading Card Game, perhaps because of its unique effect of bestowing life and awareness to any object. Heart of Jong: Major Transform 6d6 (inanamate object into "living" object, removing focus), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2), Continuous (+1) (225 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), OIF (-1/2), Incantations (-1/4)) The Reversing Mirror is a hand mirror that reverses the power of anything that happens to the mirror. Any Shen Gong Wu based attacks that are directed at the holder of the Reversing Mirror will be sent back at the attacker upon activation of the Reversing Mirror. The Reversing Mirror also has the ability to change the effects of Shen Gong Wu used with it. For example, using the Two-Ton Tunic in combination with the Reversing Mirror would cause the two ton tunic to be as light as a feather, using the Serpent's Tail would cause a ghostly person to become solid, and if used with the Changing Chopsticks, the user would grow to a giant size instead of shrinking to the size of a grain of rice. It is possible that the Reversing Mirror can have different effects depending on the context and how the person using it would like it to work, like when Vlad combined it with the Crystal Glasses, it showed a false future for Omi. This might have happened because there were two people, one holding the Crystal Glasses, and the other one holding the Reversing Mirror. By Wuya's logic, breaking the Reversing Mirror brings seven years of good luck instead of bad luck. Raimundo won the Reversing Mirror in a Xiaolin Showdown just as he moved to the side of Wuya. The Reversing Mirror was shattered by Wuya when she became human, but it was restored and recovered by the Xiaolin warriors when Wuya was returned to her puzzle box. Jack stole it later on (when Chase pulled it out of the bag of Wu Jack stole, he probably didn't put it back) , but it was taken back by the Warriors. Later Wuya took it when Chase Young was releasing the Chi Creature, and lost it to the Ying-Ying Bird who takes it into Hannibal Roy Bean's cell along with the Moby Morpher and some Shen Gong Wu that the Xiaolin warriors had brought with them. The Xiaolin take it when they open the cell along with their stolen Wu, but not the Moby Morpher which the evil Bean used to disguise himself and escape. It is one of the six Shen Gong Wu to have the highest rarity designation ("Premium") in the Xiaolin Showdown Trading Card Game, perhaps because its unlimited versatility. Reversing Mirror: Major Transform 6d6 (Shen Gong Wu power into opposite effect of power, Shen Gong Wu being won in xiaolin showdown.), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2), Continuous (+1) (225 Active Points); Independent (-2), Side Effects, Side Effect occurs automatically whenever Power is used (Side Effect always occurs whenever the character does some specific act; Becomes temporary property of anyone who wins it in a xiaolin showdown.; -1 1/2), Incantations (-1/4) Most of the background information was found on Wikipeida. 20. Re: Catalyst: A Champions campaign on Hero Central I trimmed 3 more points off. Here is Detective Luminous again.
  21. Re: Catalyst: A Champions campaign on Hero Central I made the changes. But I come up with 353, not 349.
  22. Re: Catalyst: A Champions campaign on Hero Central Lowered my DEX to 20, changed my Contact to one person, Added PI license. Took off the -1/4 limitation and lowered powers to 50 Active points (approx), Added END reserve and lowered personal END. Changed ID to Public and changed hunteds to reflect this... I'm now 12 points over the limit. What else should I trim?
  23. Re: Catalyst: A Champions campaign on Hero Central (Mother talking to Steven Cox at 13 years old) Steve, you forgot to turn off your light again last night. I saw a glow from your room again last night. I thought for sure I turned that light off. What were you doing in there? Finishing up an Agatha Christie mystery novel. I actually figured it out. I can't wait to start the next one. I love a good mystery, I'm going to be a detective when I get older. Sure Stevie, sure. Mom! Please don't call me Stevie any more. When Steve turned 25, he became a full detective, and learned that it was him that was glowing that night. But not much of a power. At the most he was considered a Latent. Time passed. Steve had done well with his detective agency. He actually was tracking down a mob member. Steve was sure that the mobster could be turned from a life of crime... He cornered him in a warehouse. It was a trap! Steve had hid behind some crates. When the mob came around the corner. FLASH! A bright light emitted from his hands. The blinded mobsters were captured. He realized that the mob didn't get the chance to ID him. He used that to his advantage. He practiced with his powers. And he came up with a simple costume and started fighting crime. But he wanted to still be a detective. So began his private career as Detective Luminous. Detective Luminous (sometimes just Luminous), still looks for the best in people. Still hasn't quite given up on anyone. And he still loves a good mystery. Luminous doesn't know that Dark Energy can harm him more than others, and as long as there is at least artificial light, Luminous can show his powers.
