  4. Re: FRED Question Yes, this would be a light based flash that is set off in the middle of a darkness field. I believe the character wanted to cancel it out or at least blind the originator of the darkness field. I think darkness wins but I wanted other opinions.

  6. How do I thwart AOE attacks. My players seem to buy them alot to make it easy to hit villains. It gets a little too easy.

  8. I was really looking to see if any of these work the way I described. Especially the TK Grab since it takes a full phase to break free. Here is the desired effect: Character shoots a villain with a power that conatins him with a continuos charge that lasts one turn. If the villain breaks out he gets caught again. Doe any of these or others work like this: 1. Entagle using the continous charge 2. Force globe (Force wall) using the continous charge 3. Telekenetic Grab using the continous charge 4. Entagle BOECV using the continous charge
  9. Re: Containment - FRED It is also a "Do any of these work this way?" The entangle I don't think does. The TK takes a full phase to get out so you would be standing there. Does the continous charge make it grab again?
  10. Does the person who sends a mindlink to another automatically know that they accepted ir denied it? Is there anything that can stop the sender from knowing that it was accepted or denied? When active can someone with mental awarness see the link or is it only when they transmit and recieve? And what is they had invisiblity to mental awarness no fringe.
  11. If a character has invisiblity to mental groups that is peristent and he turns it off so an ally can form a mind link with him. When he turns the invisibility back on does it cut the mind link?

  14. So for my annual halloween game I decided to be silly and do a feng shui style horror game. The worlds greatest actions stars go to a small town to film a feng shui/western game. How do I keep them in the town? When things go bad they could jump into a car and bail.
  15. If I have a 1 pip penetrating attack based on mental and the target has 3/4 damage reduction vs mental attacks...He still takes the pip right?
  16. If you have an AOE entangle that is bought as continuos, and to break out and move a hex. Which is still within the entangle. Are you entangled again? Same question with TK. If you are grabbed by an AOE TK attack that is continous. Do you have to do a str vs str roll every hes you move?
  17. If I have 30 Str. I also have a +9HA,And 30" Flight. I do a move through...Do I do 16d6 or 25d6? Also, if I buy Armor piercing on Str does that apply to move through damage?
  18. If I have a Speed 7 and I buy a +4 speed cost endurance to use. Am I paying 16 end a turn or 44?
  19. If a Character has a higher OCV due to combat levels does that count against a character trying to block a punch? How about for Missle Deflection and Reflection?
  20. Re: Learning from the mistakes of others I like both games. I run a champs game every other Weds and a D&D 4th every other Sat. I have never run 3.5 I have only played in it. My problem with 3.5 was there were hundreds of supplements out there. My pocket book and brain couldn't keep up with them all. The more I roleplay I tend to think...Give the players what they want. In champs they have pretty powerful heros. And the new D&D makes low levels more competant. If i'm going to spens 4-6 hours of my life playing a game I want to play something that packs a punch when its needed. I don't want a guy who shoots his one spell and is done for the day. That being said, If I run a Sci-fi game it will probably be Star Hero, If I run a SuperHero gamme it will be Hero. I have never played fantasy hero but I can see where it has merits over D&D. But I run a group and I wanted to see how the new mechanics worked. They do work for a fantasy setting. My biggest complaint is sometimes the rules get vague. Sometimes they write a sentence where they need a paragraph. Both are fun.

Characters A mystic with desolid/invis/healing/and stun blast A brick (Growth powers) A jedi (Extremly fast, Light saber stuff, ie...missle deflection, reflection) A low level telekinetic with nanites. Boosts his abilities and a NND attack called nanite invasion. In General hes a brawler. His punch links with a kinetic explosion.
  22. Well the team has been captured by Viper and instead of outright killing them I was thinking it's a goodtime for a death trap. I was looking for suggestions. The piranah pool just isn't me. lol.

  24. How would you simulate possesion? I think it was spec our in an adventurers club but I can't find it. Mind control is the natural choice but it isn't exactly the same thing.
